Before you buy a game do a little research online if you plan to play with friends.

Make sure it has that function. It will save you money and problems. Most games don't support co-op or even split screen.

One game I will say for sure should be enjoyable to play with a friend is Army of Two.

Research before you buy games. :)

Call of Duty does NOT have that option.

However, Warhawk does. Warhawk allows a 2nd, 3rd and 4th player to join the game at any time. It's a pretty fun game for $40. Just know it doesn't have any story mode.

This is true. TC, don't get to thinking that this is a PS3 specific issue. The multiplat games on the PS3 that do not have split-screen co-op are the same for the X360 (Orange Box, COD4, MOH). Over the next few months, there will be plenty of titles which sport this feature you and many others so desire (i.e. Army of Two, R6V2, Haze, Resistance 2, etc.). I'm not saying these games will be fantastic (I'm especially leery about Haze), but I love me some split-screen.

Yea, I know how that is. I made the mistake of buying Motorstorm to play with my wife and I came to find out it has no split-screen. A racing game...with no split-screen!?!? How does that even make sense? Needless to say, it might have been a fun game, but I sure as hell didn't keep it long enough to find out.

I think some of these game devs are forgetting that gamers have real life friends and just assuming that everyone likes to play with punks online.

What he said, so go get Warhawk. I personally agree, I love games that allow splitscreen while online. Let's me and my wife play together. This has nothing to do with 360 vs ps3, though. There are game on both that support it, and far more games on both that don't. It's just a matter of whether the individual devs implement it and code for it. But yeah, like I said, get Warhawk.

It seems like xbox has this feature on many many more games than the playstation does, and its that feature that really makes me fall in love playing online, ya know? i dont like handing off the controller to my buddy once i die, that gets old, matter of fact, i wanna be able to kill my buddy online, gain points while im at it, and talk trash too ^.^ so army of two, and warhawk huh? okay, sounds alright for now i guess. although not having it for CoD4 and Orange Box does make me mad
