There is somthing a little wierd about the oblivion review on gamespot it got three nines and two tens and it got a 9.5 yet three nines and two tens averages out to 9.4 so it seems gamespot spotted oblivion a point. Now dont get me wrong here i love oblivion but can somone explain to me why it got spotted that point?

The categories do not have the same value when it comes to the final average. Gamplay is much more valuable than sound f.ex. and a point drop in gameplay would penalise the average more than a point drop in sound.

GS did an articel on this a while back.

Not all those points are weighed as same. Try writing your own review and you will see what I mean. Gamespot has their own grade system and some worth more than others.
