Sony announces new 160GB (Uncharted Drakes Fortune Bundle) for NA

Sony has finished giving what will be the only platform holder conference of the Leipzig Games Convention.

Among the announcements were a 160GB PS3, wireless keypad for PS3 controller, tweaked PSP for October, Heavy Rain and more.

They haven't even released the 80gb core pack yet, and they just came out with the 80 MGS pack not that long ago. How many packs do they need? If I need a bigger had drive I'll do it myself....

all it is really is a 40GB (meaning no BC) with just a much bigger hard drive.

and yes, the new 80GB with the no BC is available. there are some stores that are already selling it as we speak.

I already have a 80GB MGS-4 Bundle. Got one before they take BC off completely.

Go get one guys before they run out of stock.

Great Europe is going to have the PS3 80GB and PS3 160 but none has backward compatible, why doesn't SCEE just give Europe backward compatible. Europe have been without backward compatible for more than 1 year and a half.

Why can't SCEE release a new SKU with BC, card reader ect.

Nah, Sony is just trying to increase sales of PS3 games by getting rid of the BC.

But in the end will it actually work?I will admit when sony did release the 40 gig I guess it boosted sales abit.But they can't even start to make BC for the consoles?I think it would be smart move.I mean look If sony were to make some of there consoles BC and keep the price the same I think sales would go up even more.I mean what is the number one complaint about these new consoles?No BC.Once again this is just my opinion.K1LLR3175
