Alright well I got the Sony Bluetooth in the Socom package and I fully charged it and it worked fine (charged useing the USB not the cradle). Then the next day I used the cradle and left it chargeing for a while. When I came back it won't turn on at all. I hold the power for like 20 seconds and nothing. When I plug it back in to charge I get a red flashing ring every 2 seconds. In the online manual it says this is a Pairing Failure..... Honestly WTF SONY, I DONT WANNA PAIR I JUST WANNA TURN THE THING ON!

Any help would be great and I can't exactly get it repaired or exchanged becuase I bought it sealed new on eBay.

Buying things like this on Ebay = fail. You can't tust these sources therefore you are screwed. Good luck trying to get a new one.

Yeah I paired my friends blutooth and it worked just fine. But I just dont get why would a "Pairing Failure" not allow my headset to turn on? It's a blinking red light every 2 ( two ) seconds not 3 so it's not just not charged. I've seen this happen to people before and they just return it. Sony's maybe useing defective lithium batteries? or does anyone know why it's doing this?

All I know is that I got my headset with warhawk and haven't had any problems. If yours is anything like mine it will turn on after you see a quick flash and there should be a blinking light. If you hold it longer then that it should turn into a continuous light and that will put into pairing mode. Then all you need to do is go to the blue-tooth management menu and look for the option that allows you to sync a headset, then sync and it should work.

Well, since you held it for 20 seconds, It thinks you were pairing it. Which means pairing failure.

If i'm right.

I get this too, you have to wait a day before it can charge again ( letting any power drain out). Every week my headset dos this, I'm guessing we got defective Headys.

umm... ok well just in case ima gunna tell u anyway start wit everything off ( im telling you because the update changed things a lil) then turn on your system go settings, accessory settings, audio devices... now from here you have to press triangle to connect.. then press and hold your power button... keep in mind.. i believe the hs doesnt have a power button and is not turned on until its sucessfully put into pairing mode and paired up wit your system... if this doesnt work then yes you have a lithium problem and should contact sony right away...sooner rather than later... i hope this helps and its not everything you know already... that is frustrating... gl my brother

^ Yeah this is exactly what's happening mines working right now but I can almost gaurantee it's gonna get the pairing failure again in a few days. My only guess how to prevent this is make sure it's Unpaired and turned off when you charge it becuase it's been working so far. * Crosses Fingers*

Hey, is it working or did you have to return it to Sony? I just got mine and after charging for 3h it wont pair even with the USB cable. I press the buttons and nothing turns on. Only when I plug it to be charged the red light flashs for a couple times than goes off again....It does not power on at all... used to have an old JABRA BT200 working just fine, but decided to go for the fancy Sony, just a headache.... that I didn't have before....

I can't really explain this... because it seems to be 100% now...

Maybe it just needed a good long charge because I left it to charge overnight and it seems to be good now.

And now I can even charge it while it's on. So my suggestion to anyone who's haveing problems give it a good long charge and hope for the best if you can't take it back.

did you leave plugged in your PS3 or on your computer? Using the cradle or right in the HS?

I'm trying to put mine to work, since I can't return it...
