sony broken console x 2

I got my ps3 at launch, got it fix once already a year ago paid 150 and now is broken again. It simply wont stay on, when i turn it on the light stay green for a sec but then yellow then off. Could this be the yellow light of death that everyone is talking about. Cant believe is happening to me. Again.

Is there anything i could do about this?

Im not talking about fixing it, It would be great if i can fix it but im talking about through sony. Im mean i already paid 150 to get this fix a year ago and now is broken again. If people think ps3 is expensive think again, PS3 at launch = $600 + 150 + 150 = wtf

If it's thre beeps as well, then yes, you have the dreaded YLOD. If your warranty is still valid, trade it in for a 80GB model for free, by the looks of things, the 60GB models are going the way of the dodo.

I know electronic breaks but damn. Can somebody tell me the symtom of Yellow light of death?

Mine is when it beeps and it turns off and the red light keeps blinking.

I guess ill have to send it in again except this time im gonna try to get a different version, but what is the difference between new model vs 60G besides play ps2 game which i dont care for.

You would know if the YLOD occurs, becuase you will see a Yellow Light.

That sucks. Well,since alot of these "YLOD Threads" have been popping up so much, I'm really skeptical on the "facts". Majority of people who come here saying they have it are just new guys trying to get their feet in with the in crowds. However, since some of these are occasionally true, I'd have to say that I am sorry to hear this.

You can fix it, there's a vid on youtube just type in YLOD fix or something. IF you're tech savy you can do it yourself, if you're not get someone to do it for you. But only do it if you're not under warranty anymore.
