Sony confirms rumble controller for PS3

An article from gamePro.com it seems official enough. Me personally don't miss the rumble, but it is a nice addition nonetheless.

I honestly doubt it, being it is just an 'add on', but in reality, sony knows everyone will want this - it's an easy way for them to make some extra money...can't say I'm shocked, though, companies always lie in order to succeed.

A Sony representative confirmed on Thursday that controller rumble will make its way to the PS3 for the first time, this after several lawsuits surrounding the technology.

That's why I didn't rush to get a 2nd controller,I didn't think Sony would patch things up with immersion, but I knew they would come up with an alternative. Sometimes moving like a turtle is good!!!

I already have 2 Normal sixaxis and I was planing to get a third one, however i'll have to wait to get a Rumble Sixaxis now that it has been confirmed , I dont feel particularly owned nor milked or anythin' Many people moaned about the lack of rumble,remember ? , nowthat they'll get it there will be one less complain for the GodStation3 and kick the competition's asses even harder :twisted:

HOW does that look legit? Its from Kotaku, who also had a "Sony Employee" confirm the new PSP w/ GPS, 8 gigs of memory and a camera...Bashcroft needs too beat his sources down for better info ;)

However I do hope this one is true.

So true. Well at least now I can get another 2 controllers... And what do I do with one I got with the system and the one I bought on launch? Throw them in the bin? Thanks a lot SONY. Same thing they did with PS1. Well at least Kojima will be pleased, if the rumour is true, that is.

they were the first console maker for this generation to have a 1 year manufacturers warranty. they also will have a replacement plan for the SIXAXIS if the battery eventually dies. The PSN is free.

that's three ways they are "giving".

Thank God...not that it has rumble again (im glad it does) but that sony actually did it. Cause i need another controller and had a feeling that they did, so i can finally stop using those cheap ass radioshack adapters and get another ps3 controller

my friends will be like "hey how come yours is rumbling and ours arnt" ill just say cuz the PS3 is soo advanced that it reconizes the owner and gives them rumble and no one else........lol

I agree, I really hope there is some way Sony doesn't gimp us early adopters of their systems.

my response to all those blaming ME for being pissed that I have to buy new controllers:

Stop worshiping SONY, they are a business and this is a way for them to bring in extra cash. Why the hell would you blame me for buying controllers for a console 8 months before any rumble news and at a time when SONY stated that rumble was IMPOSSIBLE with the motion detection. Get over yourselves, fanboys.
