So Sony has decided to restructure Home, making more game-oriented. Is Sony admitting that Home failed as a social space? How do you feel about the proposed changes? Would you visit Home more if it was more focused on free minigames?

For me, the answer is Yes, Indifference, and No.

Free stuff is always nice. They also allow unlocking of Home items from more games' save data.

This seems like a great move for Home. I never really got into home because it didn't really seem fun. I would go in, watch some trailers on the big screen, and maybe play some of the simple minigames that were available. However, I feel like this move into a more games focused platform would really tap into gamers attraction to playing cooperative and competitive games online. It makes sense. Having a platform where gamers can play games together. I think Home's experience would become much better for those who never really got into it. This new approach also helps create a platform for new and innovative games. Its a low risk environment in which developers can throw in the craziest ideas they can think of, which i believe will produce some real gems for the Home game space. If they can create some great games while keeping a portion of the social aspect alive, I feel the experience will be something that no Playstation 3 owner should miss out on.

If sony made trophies a type of currency to buy, lets say unlockables, exclusive trailers stuff like that i might use it.

Good. Maybe it will be slightly less pointless now.

Wasnt HOME supposed to be kinda fancy mini dash waaaayyy back at the start when it was first announced? Which game launching and the trophy room was a part of. Last I checked neither have appeared. The idea of it was nice though, just to get people talking and interacting on PSN. But instead of going to all that hassle etc, wouldnt packing a decent blue tooth mic in the box have been a bit more succesfull? It defo wouldnt have my ears getting raped in turn off some of the cheap and nasty mics on PSN that have to pick up and transmit every stupid bit of noise going on in their room when im in the middle of Killzone.

360 did that and you find people talking most the time, mind you other times im reaching for the mute feature on their gamer card. :P
