Sony fanboys never called killzone the halo-killer

Well this is a issue i wanted to talk about seeing how, most people are saying that killzone should not be called the "halo-killer" because it is a different game with it's own unique storyline. However, i don't see the point in why people are blaming ps3 fans for calling it a "halo-killer", it was not the ps3 fanboys, it was the media who portrayed it as a "halo-killer".

i rather play something that looks fresh and totally revamped

than another halo game.

Killzone received a great deal of hype in June 2003 when video game websites began releasing previews and rumors about the game, so it was not sony fanboys.

Here's the thing, Sony doesn't need a Halo killer. Sony needs depth, which is exactly what they are doing right now. Instead of basing almost their entire console's marketing strategy on one awesome game (and you can't deny it's awesome, or it wouldn't have sold the way it does), they are building game genres for EVERY gamer. This is the main reason I went with Sony this gen.

Their will be no Halo-killer, because their is no need. What are the opposition going to have after X-Mas, nothing that I've seen. I gazillion more shooters maybe. Who cares, let them have it. I'll be too busy playing all my many different types of games to notice.

Also, killzone doesn't need to be called the halo-killer, the game itself will blast halo back to hell, I think it should be called

Halo is not dead, it has to large a fan base. You have to learn to get used to that, no matter what system you own.

What happens if the big N or M$ comes out with a platform action/adventure that is 3 time longer and prettier than GoW, does that mean GoW is dead? Hell no, God of War will always have a loyal fanbase. Why, because it's an awesome game. Same as Halo.

Just wanted to add that the only console I own is PS3, so please save the M$ fanboy remarks, Im a realist.

Killzone 2 is not a halo killer because they're on different platforms and so can't directly compete against each other. But if they were both on the same platform maybe it could be a Halo Killer. but they would probably both sell on the same platform as they're completely different in every way (except for being FPS's)

exactly the same reason why i chose the ps3 because of variety just like what the ps1 and ps2 had. your right sony doesnt need a halo-killer-type game its variety that had won the last two generations for them

im with u, besides why do always someone has to say something smart, who cares wat media is sayin who cares wat fanboys orxfanboys are saying, ps3 is doin well, ps3 owners should be happy and lay back and wait for the games to arrive and not complain or say this is halo killer, or my system can do this or that, i honestly imo dont give a rats a$$, i own a ps3, wii and thats it, i go after systems that i trust and has the games i need, why always people have to argue or fight over something that u have no control of?? anyways duhqbnsilo is rite though halo been dead since halo 2, and even though kz2 and halo is different games and story line, i personally think it will smash it
