As PS3 and 360 owner im lucky when it comes to exclusives, but games on consoles are getting to a point where now games are going to come out for multi-platforms, this is an obvious reason and always discussed in the podcasts i listen to.
so if they targeted more consoles theyll get more profit, eventually itll be the same having a ps3 and an xbox because of this, the only thing dividing it is the hardware and the consoles ability to provide other forms of entertainment.
And its not that bad, ps3 have had bioshock and eventually dead rising, mass effect 2 and we will still have amazing games that will stay on the ps3 for a very long time if not forever, like heavy rain, uncharted, demon souls, yakuza, infamous,mgs 4.
So chill out not that bad :)

Just buy a 360. You can get used ones cheap. Quit complaining and do something about it. Why does everyone feel the need to stick behind one system? There are no rules out there that say you can't own both/all major systems. I know not everyone has the money and thats fine, been there, done that. But for goodness sake be happy you even have one.

Just buy a 360. You can get used ones cheap. Quit complaining and do something about it. Why does everyone feel the need to stick behind one system? There are no rules out there that say you can't own both/all major systems. I know not everyone has the money and thats fine, been there, done that. But for goodness sake be happy you even have one.

it's a business...sony didn't give them anything. MS made an offer and the publisher (NOT SONY) excepted it. Kojima can't even be blamed for this....

It is worth reminding people that the MGS series was never exclusive to Sony platforms, except of course for MGS3,MGS4, ,MGS: PO and the new in the series MGS: PW which a few will argue that these are more than enough to make the series look exclusive to Sony given only the first two in the series are the only ones that went muti, but Konami has made a lot of spin-offs for the DS, GB,iphone and soon the new game MGS3;3D for the upcoming release of Nintendo 3DS.

Anyway MGS:R looks promising looking forward to see some actual gameplay relating to the story instead of demonstrating the " cut anything " videos.

It really is so pointless to avoid a game just because another system has it. Acting that way is just childish and you're possibly denying yourself a great game.

Chill dude, it's comin out on the PS3. Besides, as most people have already said MGS was never really exclusive anyway, so nothing has changed.

This is one of the most stupid threads I have ever seen. Konami is not owned by Sony, therefore they can make games on any console they want. Now Epic Games is not owned by Microsoft, but the Gears of War name is. We will never get it.

MGS as a franchise was never exclusive to one system.

Rising was announced as a multiplat.

Nintendo has every Metal Gear Solid besides 4 and it has more iterations then Sony in the series so if anything Microsoft stole a Nintendo game,Fightingfan

Twin Snakes was 1 and I did not include it because it was on a Nintendo system, same for the Gameboy Game Game. I didn't know 3 was coming to the 3DS. Metal Gear on the Nes was a butchered port Kojima had nothing to do with, Metal Gear 2 for the Nes was not the same game as the MSX one and Kojima had nothing to do with it. The VC? Did the MSX version get released on the Japanese Virtual Console then?
