Good. Hacking, no matter how righteous one can claim it, always leads to cheating. I'm glad Sony is doing something about it. If hackers want to homebrew, use a PC or stay offline with your modded console.

I mean I dont see how/why people think/thought they would get away with having a modded console and playing online. That just is far from fair. MS prevents it so yea of course sony will. Only reason to have a modded console is to play the games without the intentions of going online IMO. But apparently people dont think rationally these days.

So can you re-formatt you HDD-reflash with latest firmware create a new account and continue being an honest gamer? I honestly dont have time for hacking my PS3 and dont see how I will benefit from it esp from all the drama floating around the web about it lol.

Glad I have nothing to worry about here:D Maybe playing Borderlands online will be fun if they start getting rid of those hackers too. It's seriously not funny when a guy 30 levels lower than you challenges you to a duel, allows you to hit them a few times (only to see their shield or health won't go down), one shot kills you with their stupid hacks and then has the nerve to brag about how good they are and how much you suck at the game.

Being a fan of Homebrew, I have a strict price policy. Despite using it's actual service, I wouldn't "mod" anything I paid more than $400 for.......ya know?;)

But even with some other consoles. I kept it "Homebrew only" and still buy games.

Hope the banning helps - it sure would be nice to play Modern Warfare 2 again...

Good, hackers piss me off in online games. Call of Duty 4 on ps3 is absolutely ruined online because of them, hope these hackers getting banned cuts down on that crap.

They are getting what they deserve. No life freaks.

People should be more careful if they buy a usedPlaystation 3console of a site like craigslist, kijjji or Ebay. You could end up getting stuck with a PS3 that won't be able to go on-line. Once a person has been kicked off that console is no longer able to go on-line. Changing an account will not help the hackers.

Good! Anyone who cheats or hacks has no right to be interefering with other people's gaming experiences, and deserves to be banned for life.

So this means, that if I lose a game it'll be because someone beat me the legit way and NOT by cheating? YES!
