We aren't that big .. land mass yes .. but not people .. give it time man .. because we all know everyone loves us!
Plus once they come up here it's a totally different game then .. different taxes, laws and rules .. and with this recession we are apparently falling into, we may not see too much ..
lol, we're the step brother nobody likes. ohwell not a big deal for meSk8ter_213
Oh hell no .. we are loved by all .. :)
for some of the problems, you could make an extra account, but it does that we are supported less, I mean it's easier to get to us then Alasks, so you would think we would have all of the exact same things
Wait, we don't get that Playstation Video Store, the one they showed at the press conference where you can buy and rent movies? Well, that sucks! We will never be getting that?
What you can do though, (maybe) I know this works for the 360, you can make an american account and have all the american benefits. Don't know if that'll work for the PS3, because I don't have mine yet.
Canada has some problems on television broadcasting. They want to police everything for some reason. That's why we can't legally get american networks. Stupid Canada, and its stupid laws.

Apparently Canada has the safest banks so far in the world so no recession yet... Canada always gets edged out with everything "cool" that the Americans get.PsyKosis

Yes you may have those american networks, but it costs your cable/sat company a premium to have them compared to the canadian channels and they actualy need approval from the goverment (thats why u cant get fox news)...and if a canadian channel is showing the same show american networks are automatically switched to the canadian ones (i really hate when that happends canadian commercials are boring and usualy just the same 5 commercials repeated)
The video store might now happen for awhile, when 360 released their version it took them over a year to get anything for canadians and even now its just a shell of the US version.
For the ps3 u can make accounts in any region cept you can not purchase anything without a credit card in that region, its great for demos but thats about it.
I'm canadian and I find the lack of "eh" in this topic disturbing.

Most of them are illegal. Cable companies have to lobby the goverment to allow them to carry specific american networks, and other then a few big ones the goverment usualy says no.

what is this aboot?
on topic: i have an american acc to get around that issue. as for no psn cards oh well i will use credit and as for the new psp i find the phat psp to be better for specific reasons i cannot discuss on this board.
they dont hate us, dont forget we are paying less for PS3s then we should be, its only $350usd at the current cad value, as for the videos it's prob more of a problem with hollywood not letting us we cant even watch most of the tv shows online. The only good thing about the video store are movies, tv shows are a rip off cuz its usually cheaper to buy a whole season for $20 on dvd then buying and downloading each episode. As for the PSP store i think it will be availebale to us, there is nothing different about having it connected to a PS3/PC or conected by wifiI mean first of all,we dont get the playstation video store, second we dont get playstation network cards and the psp's in us are getting the psn store......why sony why...what did we evr do to you?

Even if you make an American account it doesn't give you the video store, I've tried it.

What's bigger than SPIKE .. NBC .. Discovery .. A&E ..
We need more gamers. That's the reason why we have these problems. I don't know a damn soul that's a gamer besides me. The occasional casual gamer maybe if I handed them a DS with Tetris. But there aren't very many gamers around. Most people think video games are stupid and for kids. All I see are more gamers in the US.Denji

Hamilton. Especially being 29. Very hard to find adult gamers. I've found only 1 guy in Socom 3 a few years ago a few blocks away from me. I knew another guy (don't really talk much anymore) that was only a PC gamer and played cracked games to boot (impossible for online)
The people I play with usually from Socom all live in the states. A chunk of them are from Texas.

Microplay doesn't exist in my city anymore. All we have are a few EBs and one Gamestop. But I'm more interested in playing with others online in my area. You tend to get a better connection when you're only a city or two away.

Hhaa, it's funny, cause the bad vibe is usually centered on the US, while Canada is rite beside the US but doesnt get mistaken or blamed-along-with the US's errs. Yep. we're definitely the step bro of the US: when US gets blamed for somethin, we're not considered a part of the trouble because we're not "blood related", haha.
Anywayz, Sony should capitalize on bringing these Ps3 features to Canada, considering we are still a good portion of gamers that support the PS3 (im thinkin that Japan is first, then US, then maybe Can). In these circumstances Canada should be gettin the perks of being a part of the continental "family". =)

Yeah it sucks being Canadian. Luckily though I have a second home in Pt Roberts, WA, USA (google it, it's the only town in the USA which has more Canadians than Americans), a suburb of Vancouver that I spend 6 months minus a day in during the year so I get to watch all the US TV and get the PS3 video store and such. I work in another suburb of Vancouver. But yeah, Canada is behind in everything. The worst thing is that we don't get ESPN. It sucks just having TSN because all they show is hockey, hockey and more hockey. There are sports fans of OTHER SPORTS in Canada!cantor2537

Why do you guys make a topic about hating Canada when I'm about to leave??
