Hello everyone,

After reading this here:

www.gamebizblog.com

I have to say this:

"I think people would not mind if SONY unveils 3G fast GSM "PSP GO" model. This will make SONY millions $, and for us a sick ass phone/gaming device. Im dead sure sony will win any phone out there until "Nokia Morph" hits new age market": www.unwiredview.com

P.S. Please Comment !

PSP GO

The psp really isn't a phone really so 3G would be kind of piontless. The thing already has wifi and is already competing against the ipod touch. Also throwing the kitchen sink into a psp doesn't make it compete better against ipods/iphones. The best thing Sony can do is keep improving the software. Especially the internet browser cuz it's garbage.

Thank for the reply,

U right they allready competing because of blutooth. I never thought of it like that. But let me ask you something. If psp go will build gsm slot in there, and remake software interface. Would you buy Iphone or psp go gsm phone ? Im not hating and not trying to start any devices WARS, but i think SONY would win.

I think the PSP needs to stay a gaming device. Throwing in a phone wouldn't work well in a clearly gaming-oriented device. The Apple iPhone and Sony PSP are two completely different devices, and Sony trying to mix them wouldn't work.

Yeah if they made the PSP Go a phone it would be the N-Gage all over again.

It won't work to mix a serious gaming device with a phone. The PSP is a hardware device, so there would have to be a ton of buttons. Either it would be extremely inconvenient, or there would be a touch screen... Pain.

I'm fine with Sony making a phone/gaming device, but SCE better not make one and call it the "new PSP."

Ok personaly I think every kid needs a phone and has one. They take it to school, to work. I don't know anyone who carry phone plus psp with them, it's just to much to carry it. I have Iphone and psp, i hate games on Iphone but it's allways with me. I think if you mix psp with phone add touch screen plus good and simple software to call it would just change everything. It would be kids dream probably from 10 years old till watever. Im 24 I love play games when i got nothing to do, it's just psp3000 to big to carry it around. PSP GO is perfect size to have as a phone, plus it has Skype allready and blutooth so you can talk though wirelss headset. :D

If Sony lost their mind and it happened you can bet that it'll be at least $1000.

Sony's Xperia was already around $800, and it was just a phone.

If you had them combine a phone into the Go, it'll be much bulkier and uglier. Something is going to take a blow. They would need to have the top-of-the-line processor to put enough power into PSP games and a mobile phone on a touch screen. Either gaming is going to suck and the phone is acceptable, or vice-versa.

PSP has enough power for any mobile software, gps, and photos. Even if that will cost around $500-$700 that's something you would use everyday and have it with you ALL the time and everywhere. And you don't have to carry phone plus psp.

I don't know, maybe it's just me, but after reading some of your comments, I have inferred that you are insinuating that the PSP GO will have cellphone capabilities? Or are you comparing the PSP gaming features to the Iphone/touch? After reading the article the original post submitted, I did not find anything about the PSPGO having cellphone capabilities. If you are reffering to the latter, then you must be mistaken, for the PSP has a higher potential in its field. The Iphone hit its stride for its user generated content (and the ability to jailbreak) NOT however for its game quality. The PSP, while having few games so far, has higher quality games as opposed to the Iphone. However, the Nintendo's "Shovelware" technique, when applied to the DS actually prospers. This is so because development for handhelds do not take as long as "classical" console does (360,PS3,PC,larger projects, etc).

He wants the PSP Go to become a phone with PSP gaming, but either way if a PSP phone is made, the gaming would be completely toned down. We don't have the technology to make a great touch screen phone slash serious gaming console that matches the PSP.

Thanks for all of your responds guys, i preciated. Im definatly getting psp go, just hope dark alex will hack it soon enough. I have psp1000 hacked i love it, can play any game on it pretty much. Just think it's a little big and a little bulky for my taste. PSP go is a right size to put it in a pocket and take it anywhere. I know psp phone is just my magination but hey maybe it will come out who knows. Oh and one more thing i want to add. It would be cool if you could access "playstation home" via remote play ! It would be nice, if you bored at work for exaple, just a free chat with friend. But Skype will do it for me. If anyone want to add any thought about anything please post ! Am i the only one who thinks to have psp phone would be good idea ?

The PSP phone is an idea thought of forever. It'd be cool, but I'd say it's best to wait a year or two for better and cheaper technology.
