I have a PSP GO and I really love the system but I'm so dissapointed that very few good titles are actually available on PSN. Sony said that "virtually every past PSP game will be available at launch" which is why I pre-ordered one. The truth is that TONS of big titles are missing like Star Ocean 1 and 2, Metal Gear Solid, Ridge Racer, SSX Snowboarding, Phantasy Star Portable and so on... I was hoping that all of the rest of these titles would show up this week but nope... nothing. If you're mad about this as a GO owner... rant away here...

I actully did not think this scenario would happen. Too bad some people think this is whining but I have said countless times "this is a let down by Sony" ergo a valid complain by all PSP owners.

BUT let us see what will happen on thursday, lets hope Sony will put us to shame for being so unpatient.

I'm a little disappointed at the initial offering as well, but I really love my Go, it seems extremely well made, and it's extremely portable, not lugging around additional UMD disks and a vastly smaller system is great. Granted I am also disappointed in the number of titles currently available, I'm still not regretting my Go purchase.

im pretty sure we will get a lot of back catalog games in the months to come. They probably will have a big announcement because they didnt want CC or dissidia to get lost in the fog of all the titles that came out at launch

Sony NEVER said "virtually every" title will be available. They said first party games, and a blurred comment on third party games.

It's obvious they could never get even close to the entire back log. Thats your own fault for not putting two and two together TC.

Been the reason I wasn't picking a GO up since day one.. The catalog just isn't big enough..

Thats why I never got the Go, its because you have to download your games and there is no UMD drive. I worked hard to get my 2 dozen or so PSP games in their original UMD format, Im not gonna give them up for the Go.

Am I the only one that never heard that Sony was going to release all game at launch for the PSP GO? I only heard that their would be 225 games... Can anyone actually back up this claim?

Here ya go.... "We followed up with Rubenstein today and he told us, "The majority of back catalog PSP games will be made available for download around the launch of the PSPgo." We made sure to ask if he was speaking strictly about first-party titles and he told us he meant "the majority overall." http://www.joystiq.com/2009/06/10/a-majority-of-back-catalog-psp-games-available-to-download-oct/ I don't know about you, but that statement pretty much means AMOST ALL TITLES. What they actually put up was next to nothing...

Alot of us figured that something like this would happen. We've been naysaying the PSPgo since it was announced, but most people thinking of buying it said we were just jealous...

But "the majority" is till quite a loose term.

I don't know man, maybe I was just overly suspicious but it never seemed like they planned on bringing everything, (or even close to everything) to the PSN. And looking at it from a licensing point of view, it just wouldn't be possible. There have also been interviews since this one, I'll try and track them down. They go into a bit more detail on what should be on the way..

Thanks. Tried finding something myself but couldn't find anything. But I see the TC's point now, they did pretty much lie, even if it was through flimsy numbers. 225 games is defintely not the majority of the PSP's titles-- unless they only considered the 'major' games on the systems, which is rather obtuse. Still though, I'm not really complaining. 225 games is a lot, though I will be highly upset with Sony if they continue a streak of bad updates.

I thought they said all games would be available for download the day the game came out on UMD from October 1st on. This is just not the case as NBA 2K10 has been out over a week and is still not on PSN. They better release a bunch of games onPSN Thursday or i will not be a happy camper.

Really Dissidia isn't available? I thought it was for DLC when they released it?

I have to say that the idea of never having to change disks would be great. It just sucks that sony is really doing bad with their follow thru.

Just go to the store and buy the games you want used. Oh wait, you can't. Because digital distribution gaming platforms are highway robbery. What did you learn?

For all of you people who think the PSN will never get any more PSP games, you just wait!!!! About 2 more games may be coming out before the end of the month....and just wait until November and the Christmas season. The PSN may get something like 2 or 3 more games on top of that for only $40 each!!! So just look at what you'll be missing out in because you don't like the PSN!!

Even though I have a GO, I'm actually holding off from selling my PSP-2000 just in case... but as long as Star Ocean 2, and Phantasy Star Portablegoes up on PSN, I'll be a happy camper. What time of the day on Thursday do new games usually go up on PSN?

I'm pretty anxious for today's update, I haven't bought the Go (I was pretty sure I was going to a few weeks ago) but I might be leaning towards a 3000, depends on what the next couple weeks of PSN updates bring. Can't imagine the outrage though, if the store gets like 2 games and a demo.

Not so much lied, but never promised. Sony said all 1st party games, which isn't quite true. But most 3rd parties haven't said either way. I wouldn't be surprised to see portable ops come out with peace walker at the same time.

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/majority Last I checked, "majority" means more than half. So, anything 51% of higher would be the majority. Sorry if you suddenly believed that the term was changed recently.

Yeah Sony failed. Its not that they don't have 'almost all titles' up yet thats the problem. Its that they said they would and didn't deliver. Good way to loose alot of customers. I just bought the 3000, but still hate to cart umd's around, so i'm looking forward to more games on the PSN. I can wait for more games, but still, Sony failed introducing the digital era.

Did you know you can play virtually any PSP game on a PSP 1000-3000? Including everything on the PlayStation Store? And it's cheaper to buy one with a 16GB stick than a Go? You have to ask yourself, is a slightly smaller profile (and screen) worth the extra cash and less games? For most people the answer is hell no.

I thought Sony said they would have a majority of Sony developed games up but third party games were up to the publisher (square, konami, etc). Other than their sports games (ie. past years of basically the same game), most of Sony's games are up. What the store is lacking is third party support, thus the reason Crisis Core and MGS are not on, plus tons of other much wanted games. I don't think Sony lied, but what they said was taken out of context.
