Most peopel believe (for one reason or another) that once the 60 gb sells out they will drop the 80gb to 499.99...It would be nice to see it get down to 399.99 (hopefully before the end of sony's fiscal year).

$399 would be complete ownage...$499 is a little more realistic.

they will probably drop the price of the 80 GB and remove all the pack-ins in the bundle when the 60 GB is sold out.

atleast that is what N'Gai Croal believes will happen.

They shouldn't bundle stuff. Even though the bundle is a good deal, the price looks intimidating to the average consumer.

ANd they will sell the PS3 for $499... next year. Look, Sony will always follow the core plan they've had since PS1. It ain't broken so why fix it. They'll most likely drop the price for the 80gig in spring or early summer has they always have done and maybe do a another cut before Xmas '08 or they'll do two price cuts in '09. Either way, they're going to have 1 SKU with a price tag of $499 next spring. They may surprise me and do it for Xmas this time round,b-u-t I doubt it.

Yeah its almost 100%, and someone confirmed it, that when the 60 GB's sellout, the 80 GB will drop down to $499. If the 60 GB's sellout this year (which will mostly likely happen) you will see the 80 GB for $499.
