There probably wont be a PSP2, because of the upgrades you can down load from the net, a new console would be a waste of money, since they are gonig to soon start charging for the upgrade files

God this has been asked to death, do a thread search dude! .........But no Sony have said there is NO psp 2 , there was some lil four eyed spotty geeky dude with a small penis sat in his bedroom and made fake pictures and posted them on the net and then all the rumours started but Sony have said "nope" they have no plans for one!
And also if u think about it every console has a 5 year life span PSP is only on its 2cnd year , there only just getting started with it!

psp still got a lot of life in it. The processing power in the psp has at least 2-3 more years. I am not going to wait 2 years for a psp2 or 2 yrs for a slim-psp. I am having fun with all the games and more coming this year.

There is no indication that they are going to begin charging for updates. lol, that is like MS charging for patches. I can understand the gps maps req a charge but the gps software and camera software will probably come with the add-on module when you buy it.
The psp its self personally i dont think needs changing so why make another one sony will probably just keep making more upgrades so the psp will change inside getting better
