Like anything would support 4k already(I could be wrong), and 80 inches is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too big.

I'm sure there will be a 4K movie format to correspond with the 4K televisions.2Chalupas
Oh of course. Blu-Ray isn't the highest quality whatsoever. 1920x1080 is nothing. Actual film, which technically doesn't really have a resolution, is way bigger than Blu-Ray. So in that case, 4K movies are very possible. They just need to launch a newer format. 4-Ray?
At least, that's my understanding of film.
[QUOTE="MethodManFTW"]This is the PS3 forum, not Sony product forum.SepewrathWhere do you think is the first place Sony will advertise? No different than them using the PS3 to try and push 3D TV's. You know they have tons of movies and tv shows too?

hmmm sorry to burst your bubble and if you just research 4k, blu ray isn't a format which is just restrained to hd as dvd was. The only reason dvd was bad was because of how much you could store on the disc, it had a limit. nor is blu ray a highest quality whatever, it's a format which has alot of storage, it does not restrain itself to only go up to 1080p, thats just because tv's and films are made to that spec for wider audiuences, if you actually knew, you'd know that sony's latest blu ray players are already set up for 4k movies. here's the proof

i hope this helps you all
And Sony and it's customers wonder why their not doing so well financially. Similar to 3D, 4k will be pushed, but will not amount to anything. Do they really think people are going to purchase 80inch + tv(which is the min. size to see any difference with 4k)?
Do you remember the price of a 50'' plasma back in the day? They were thousands and thousands. Now you can get one for $500alot of us wont be able to afford it

[QUOTE="xconbud"]you spent 13 grand on a tv?Wtf are you rich or retarded?GTR12
Its called a hobby.
Yeah it sure was. You think tv's today get hot, that thing I swear could cook breakfast on the back panel. Oh and on the rich or retarded comment ... http://www.newellcoach.com/ bought two, one for the back and one for the front .Sony pushes tech further ahead before any other company and every non Sony fan bashes them. But then you see the Xbox slowly adopt all the tech that Sony puts into their systems. Why? Because it's better!!! Stop bashing and being negative about every great tech Sony creates. It's positive, great, and moves things ahead in a positive direction.
