Sony Rep= PSN will be fully Restored on June 1, 2011

i just called a SCEA sony customer service representative named Jessica and i asked her when PSN will be up. i told her i have paid for PSN Plus. she told me her supervisor told her than on June 1 all PSN online functionality will be fully restored back to normal. i was like what?? then she said we'd get compensation, etc etc. wow. i cant believe she told me June 1. if you dont believe me call sony customer service yourself now. unbelievable, now i gotta wait 1 month...........

But i just heard japan psn was up and running......?

Fully operational translates to all aspects of the PSN. It's already been stated that online gaming will be restored this week but the Playstation Store won't be back up until a later date. I'm assuming that's why they offered you a June 1st timeline.

This is all PSN services. Actual gameplay should resume within the week.

Pretty sure you'll be able to log in and play online on wednesday, but the PS Store and various other features(I think) will be down for a month.

I have a friend in cali and he says his is up after an update and password change but no psn store. Hopefully i can get on when i get home need to co op some portal 2 and some cod blops

Nothing wrong with a Xbox 360, I have one and I play it daily. Its pretty cool I guess, they are really both the same, lol

Also, few news sources are saying may 4th...but again, people, news, twitter...its all speculation and rumors unless it comes directly from sony.

Going back to the original post that well could be true, it may be a full month for full services to be restored, however that does not actually answer the question as to when specific services will become available which could be any time between now and then.

I was thinking about it too. Not really because of PSN being down, but because there's rediculous discount being given away right now. Toys-r-us and amazon you can get the 4GB for as little as $129 if you deduct the $50 gift card and $20 points card they throw in for free. Every time they have a deal like that I *think* about getting one, like at Black Friday I went so far as to actualy confirm an order on Amazon for the 250GB Holiday bundle, then a few hours after shopping for games for it I decided to go back into my account and cancel the order. Fortunately it allowed me to still cancel it, if the order was processed quicker I might have had myself another system, I was that close. :D

When I think about what games for it I'd get that I cant get on PS3, that's where I just can't pull the trigger. I just watched Halo ODST gameplay on youtube earlier today and I'm like, damn that looks TERRIBLE. But then I watch Halo Reach gameplay footage and it looks pretty damn good. When I think of the games I'd get I can reel off a few that I've had my eye on, Halo: Reach, Divinity II Saga, Gears Triple Pack, maybe some oldies like Tales of Vesperia, Project Sylpheed, and Bully. But then when I look back at the backlog of games I still have to play for PS3 it's just hard to justify getting yet another console because there's just so few games that I'd really *need* to get for it and so many games I'd still prefer to get on PS3.

PSN is supposed to go back up this week but the PS Store won't be back on until the end of the month
