Will sony repair a PS3 that does not have the "don't remove me" warranty sticker? I'm not talking about warranty repairs. Will they still fix it at a cost?

are u still under warranty ? if so then u might not be able to. if u not under warranty anymore and the sticker is removed then yea they will take it cuz ur paying to get it repaired, even though u never get the same ps3 back lol and they give u another one

If the unit shows signs of previously being opened and Sony doesn't have record of that specific unit coming in then they won't repair it, in or out of warranty.

yah when mine broke and i opened it to get my disk out the person i was dealing with for my repair said they may still not repair since they dont know exactly what i may have done to it once opened. DId not say they would not outright but its a strong possibility

If it's out of warranty then they'll repair it since you're going to be paying them for a refurbished console anyways. My old 60GB system bit the dust and I opened it up to get the game out and they replaced it with a refurbished console for the super low price of $150 with no questions asked. Maybe it was a fluke, but I didn't have any issues. I don't even think I put the thing back together right.
