Wasn't there a rumor going around about a price cut? MAybe thats it. But I do hope its a new FW with BC, I konw sony can do it I mean come on at least put 60% of the PS2 library up there, thats better than nothing.

T.T full emulation through BC would be incredibly hard...360 just does each game separately from xbox due to the lower number of hits on the console.

I really doubt they could pull that off. I thought the BC on my MGS4 80GB sucked and that had partial PS2 hardware. If sony is ever going to do anything with PS2 games on the PS3, they will be downloadable from PSN and have to be paid for.
rumors usually r true... it will kind of a let down if its only a ps2 price cut as their "major" anouncement. i cant wait til e3 to hear kojimas anouncement.
