I don't see it..but im not going to lie, US americans are pretty cheap. Don't act like were not. Its not everybody but the majority of US are. I def am not though.bihballer
i ammmmmm!
totally agree thoughÂ
That's some good logic, if your product costs too much money it's not that you made some mistakes and made it too expensive, the consumers are cheap. Well if your a good business person, you do some research, realize your consumers are "cheap" and release a cheap system so you can make lots of money, not release an expensive one and then complain about it.chembro84The guy who said that isn't in charge of Sony U.S....so you may very well look at that as a European calling Americans cheap.
how is it arrogant... people love to hate on sony these days, explain to me how its offended you because you sir will have taken it out of context and that is a damn shame that so many people are quick to take the wrong idea, rather than read something and understand what the person is saying.Im offended...
Seriously...Im tired of Sony's arrogant BS

So he didn't buy an extra controller or a game or two? Come on man. Use your head.Â
pfft ...
Everything he said is 100% true ...
American is the land of cheap !
Why ? Because 1) no VAT on RRP but rather smaller tax AFTER RRP ...
                         2) Cost of Living is MUCh lower, therefore products cost less and wages are usually less ....
He didn't call American citizens cheap but rather their cost of living as cheap -- compared to the UK ...
i mean how much tax did the US pay for PS3 ? In Australia i payed $108.06 ( or approx $92 US ) ! However this is included in our RRP ... so PS3 retailed for $999 -- i payed $999 a large chunk of it was TAX ... ( note i also got PS3 cheap due to staff discont :P so less tax )

Quit the Bullsh**...Stop sugarcoating what Sony said...They flat out said "america is the land of cheap people" that translates into calling American citizens cheap...Â
Yes. I am so cheap. I do not want to buy a system that is overly priced and has no games that interest me. I am sorry you do not get my monies.
How about call me when you actually get games...for a gaming system^^ BluRay is pointless to me. I want quality online. I want about a handful of good exculsive games. I want your PS1 downloads to actually work on the PS3 and how about games I want? How about tell me when you have ZOE3, FFXIII, Atlus Games, Online Dynasty Warriors, and many more games exculsive.
But what would I know...I am just a cheap American. Why would I want to play games on a gaming system?

You make me sick. And I don't usually say that either. Your inability to understand the intracacies(sp) of the complaints you're listing is what makes your consumer philosophy so erroneous.
Consumer support is what churns out progressive produce, it's only with a stable consumption of products that a company actually stands a chance of meeting your particular demands. It can't operate on sporatic sales that are made only by people who wait till the price goes down.
Also, Sony already has a "handful of good exclusive games" even if it's lost quite a few. This isn't even counting the fact that it still retains all the other cool titles.
You also need a lesson in patience; the firmware that's going to be the system emulator will not only allow you to play your old games, but also upscale them. So it's technically better than the presence of an emotion ship.
And yes, you are indeed a cheap American. The PS3 is a sales bundle for crying out loud. You're asking for a price-drop on a $650 product that costs twice that amount to make! Do you realize how insane it is to just pass that up?
And if ZOE3 is going to come out on any machine, it's going to be on the PS3.[QUOTE="Acenso"]Yes. I am so cheap. I do not want to buy a system that is overly priced and has no games that interest me. And if ZOE3 is going to come out on any machine, it's going to be on the PS3. So true. Something i've also noticed is the trend to say the PS3 is far more expensive in Europe, wich is not quiet true. The price tag in Europe is according to the Euro corrency. Everyone should know it's not accurate to compare prices of different countrys (in this case, continents) with different currencys. If PS3 in the UK were $600 it would be far more cheaper to the UK consumers than it would be to the Americans, since the UK has a better economy and the consumers certainly have more buying power (or however you spell that). It would not be equal to all countrys if sony had put the price tag of $600 in the whole world. I don't really see what's so wrong by calling americans "cheap". Is it that offensive ? P.S. Sorry about any grammatical error since my main language is no english, and no, i'm not british. Please Log In to post.
