Sony's $399 PS3 confirmed by Best Buy?

That sorta sucks for me, as I jumped on the support PS3 bus. I reckon Sony should do a deal with its loyal customers who have stuck with them, and give out a game or something if they are about to do a price drop.

Microsoft did that with that Xbox, and im sure they would have loved the money also. or is microsoft not as bad as everyone seems to make em out?

You should ask yourself before you plunk down the cash, "Is it worth it knowing that a price drop may be around the corner?"

If this rumor is true, I would have saved $200 by waiting 9 months. Of course, I'd say the time I spent playing during those nine months was well worth my $200. It's a personal call each buyer has to make.

Well according to other 40gb news/rumor posts, they will only have 2 usb ports, will remove the memory card readers (dont know why they didnt have a usb adapter for these), but still keep the wifi. According to an FCC scan of tech specs for the new PS3, the Wifi logo was on it, so it will still have wifi...

$399 PS3 is great news. It means it will sell better and developers will be less reluctant. I think if this rumor is true this fall will be a turning point with all the new games coming out for the PS3 too. I bought mine in january at 600 bucks but I have no regrets, had fun with resistance, motorstorm, warhawk and heavenly sword. oh and the home beta ;).

wow even casuals, kids, parents would buy it at that price then all the spider man fans will go crazy for this. with all the titles caming out should be a great xmas season for sony. if they avertise it like crazy.GARRYTH

I could have waited 2 weeks.. Its that new i might just take it back anyway and get it again later. I can use the 360 till i get it back. No biggie
