A fighting game like Super Smash Bros. Talk about lame in my opinion. I waited hours for this garbage?

Paul Gale Network is proud to reveal one of PlayStation 3′s surprise games, but before I do, there are a couple of things that I won't be putting in this article: the name of the game, publisher, developer, pictures, video, percent complete, and release date. That being said, the surprise game that I have for you is:

Sony's equivalent of Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

This is real and this is awesome. The game plays on a 2D plane much like Smash Bros. does, with plenty of Sony branded characters making up the combatants. Just who are some of these playables? This isn't a full revealing, so I'll tell you the following: Kratos, Sly Cooper, Nathan Drake (Uncharted), Fat Princess, Parappa, Sweet Tooth, and Rico (Killzone).

The stages are vibrant and varied, just like in Smash Bros. and style of play is geared towards people that like that series. Expect pretty colorful backgrounds (when appropriate), such as in Misty Island from Jak and Daxter and LittleBigPlanet. In the latter of two, much like the game it stems from, there are all sorts of cool objects spawning all throughout your match, adding a lot of fan service to the level.

I was hoping for a new Jak&Daxter :(

Thanks. How come so many people seem upset about this?? I love super smash bros and would love a game like that on PS3, I've always wanted a game like that on PS3. I'm excited :D

It's the fact people certain developers would have to go as far as to rip another game off and call it there own. If he wouldn't have mentioned Sony's version of SSB, than I wouldn't have called it a copy cat. Being influenced and taking ideas from someone else is one thing, but this is on a lower level : /

He probably just said it's sonys version of super smash bros because it's a popular game, and they will probably get more attention saying that. Theres probably a lot of people who want a game like that on PS3, I can't be the only one.

Dude I would love this. Really can't go wrong with Nathan Drake taking on Jak. And the thing I dislike most about Brawl is that the only character I like is Solid Snake.

Im so confused? Is this news rumored before or was it a complete surprise today? How come i can't find any info besides that dudes blog on the game? Im guessing its too early?

What's the deal with everyone hating on Sony? Even if they didn't say it was their version of SSBB, the gamers would say so anyway. Makes no difference. Get over it.

Great. Sony is going to take characters from the SSB for the wii u and 3DS, and take the glory from SSB.

Ew. Never liked the Super Smash games, probably will hate this too.

seriously? sorry but thsi just cracks me up. sony attempting to achieve the excellence of smash bros, it just wont happen. the characters and games they have dont allow it.

Finally, someone with some common sense. This is all fake people, should be obvious.

I think its fake, I have never heard of this dude, and not one site has even reported this.

I'm having trouble with the validity of this claim. Surely the more mainstream gaming sites would have heard something as well if it were true.

I call BS. Something smells nasty in this thread. If this is a real game, then meh.

Yeah I doubt this is real but still glad people at least want this cause I do as well. Crash would be a cheap character thanks to his evil spinning spam attacks. Square-enix was smart enough to make Dissidia so Sony should realize this game would sell easy.

Sony doing a fighting game sounds like a failure.

Doesn't excite me. Sony better hope they make me change my mind.

It might be good. I hope they can get some 3rd party characters as well, but as long as it has Jak & Daxter I'm happy. If the game is real...

We've seen a few SSB clones, and none of them were any good but if this game is really such a big deal to Sony they'll put a team on it that knows what they're doing. I'm not sure what style they should go for. Fat Princess and Killzone both have a very different art style. They have to find a middle ground somehow.

Also, Sackboy is overpowered.
