you should know this by know, but...

sony is no longer going for the same old game sequels. they're making games that "can be done on the ps3 and only the ps3". i must admit, not every game was a succes. R:FoM was good, aswell as Warhawk, and Motorstorm. im not saying there are not asking for sequels. we still have killzone 2, gta 4, COD 4, socom confronation.

so you say they aren't interested in sequels but then follow up with they are interested in sequels

just so you know, mgs4 (sequel) and ff13 (sequel) are two ultra-compelling reasons to pick up a PS3

might want to head back to the drawingboard with your idea...

GT 5, GTA IV, MGS4, FF13, KZ2, rachet and clank. thats all i can remember right nw

I think I see what you're saying... but there are a ton of sequels.

From PSOne to PS2, the big system sellers definitely changed. On PSOne it was Twisted Metal, Crash Bandicoot, Final Fantasy and Tekken that moved systems, while PS2 had all those plus Ratchet & Clank, Daxter, SOCOM, God of War, Grand Theft Auto III and Kingdom Hearts.

I think we'll be seeing a lot of original IPs like LittleBigPlanet, Haze, Resistance and Uncharted that become system sellers.

I agree...the move from PS1 to PS2 saw some new best selling games, along with some that moved over. I think the same will apply to the PS3, there will be some series that see sequels, but there will be plenty of new games to keep us busy.
