It's coming out October first and it's a download only system. So you can't play umd's (no previously owned), there is no way to get those owned games without re-paying for them at the psn store. Everything is done through the store, there will be both older games and all new games will release on the store as well as in umd format.

The design seems a little small, but I suppose I wouldn't consider it regardless. I just dl my games anyway. >_>

The PSP go! is smaller, has a smaller screen, no UMD drive, and will be missing a lot of games for while. Having no UMD drive makes you DL your game directly from Sony at full price rather than shop around for the best deal or buy the games used. You can always get a PSP 3000 and a 16gb MS which is still cheaper than a PSP GO! and would have the same amount of memory.

Yeah you can get a 8gb for $30 on amazon. Also some games (not sure which ones) will NOT be alvalible for download off PSN, for legal issues. Plus if you upgrade, good-bye UMDs because there is NO way to convert your UMDs to Digital Download. Plus you can't buy used games.

I would go for the Go! For most people it is hard to "upgrade" because many have already built a library. You can start fresh with an electronic library. That's what I would do.

I dunno man...the guy above makes a very good point. If you go with the 3000 and a big 16gig memory card, your basically getting the best of both worlds (except for the size thing of course).

The go is a no. You can't play any of your old games on it, it has no UMD drive, and it costs an arm and a leg. PS store doesn't have that many games for it... for now anyways. Just get a 3000. You can play downloaded and UMD games. With UMD you won't have to worry about it saying "Download failed" or "Error". The psp go is all download. Sure it has some updated things about it and a 16GB HDD but I can get a 16GB memory stick for my 3000 to have the same amount of memory as the go. Just go get a 3000. Even if you get the 3000 bundle, it's still cheaper than the go.

Just get a 3000. The go is a no. You won't be able to play old games. The PS store doesn't even have enough games for that thing already... for now anyways. It has no UMD drive, We won't have some kind of software or device to transfer UMDs over to that thing (not yet any ways but if it does come it'll be a while), and the price is steep. Even when you get a 3000 bundle it'll still be cheaper than buying a go. The psp go can only play DLC. With a 3000 or any of the previous models you will be able to play both UMD and DL games. At least with UMD you won't have to worry about it saying "Data corrupted" or "Error" or " Download failed" after you have already paid for a game.

The PSP Go is 33% smaller, has no UMD drive, bluetooth, built-in microphone, and that's about it. Its download only. You can download movies, TV shows, and games. Sony will only release the about 70% to 80% of the library. Either because of licensing or because they didn't sell very well. Its nice to be smaller because you can fit it in your pocket now. while the 3000 sticks out of your pocket. I would suggest to you to get the PSP Go for sure if you have the money. ITs agreat buy and 1.5x better than a 3000.

the PSP3000 can download everything the GO can, it also has a built in mic, the GO! is nowhere near worth it.
