Oh boy, haha 4D is time and i find it hillarious how many people don't realize that. I thought there was a tech demo a year or two ago that showed some PS3 4D tech in action. I believe it was how rain weathered the environment over time. Either way, I'd love to see 4D being implemented into games. Imagine having characters aging due to how long you play the game or something.
I thought the 4th dimension was atmosphere, e.g. the air temperature, smell and things like water being thrown at you. e.g. in a game like GTA, your room would get warmer in the day and cooler during the night, it would smell different in the city than if you were in the woods or on a mountain, and if it rained you would get splashed, when you get in a car it smells like leather, when you walk past a petrol station it smells like petrol or if you blow something up it smells like smoke etc etc. i would have thought this could be possible with a tv with sprays (like an air freshener), and a fan to manipulate wind and blow hot or cold air and another spray to spray mist at you if its raining. that would be cool
The 4th dimension cannot be experienced because we're 3rd dimensional beings. All we could do is give off a projection of what the 4th dimension may be like. Flatland helps understand this concept a little bit more with 2D and 3D realms. Also the time thing means you see the beginning of the person being a child and then end of the person being death. scientists are undecided but it is time at this moment
So basicly, 4D is a hologram that reprojects around your living room? I don't know, but running into a wall seems pretty painful to me.
