It's an April Fool's joke, Home hasn't been shut down. Actually today is the first day there's been rain in central plaza so it'd be a good time to check it out again. Not kidding.

Same here. I just opened my game informer & saw it said that the home server was down since april 1st. LMAO. You mean the Portal 2 issue? Look at the date it lists: April 1, 2010. Also, directly underneath it at the bottom of the page it says in capital letters "P A R O D Y". :P

I know. I just find it amusing GI actually got someone with their annual april fools pages. I would have thought the other things on the same page would have tipped you off too like "reviews" of "EA and Visceral Present: GATSBY" and "Demon's Souls 2", neither of which are actual games (yet).
Sorry any Home haters out there but it's not a permanent thing, they're hardly going to shutdown a service that makes them a profit. :P

How can it make them a profit? From what i've been reading and Seeing, it seems alot of people dislike it with a vengence. I being one of them that hate it and hope they get rid of it permanently, and do something productive like bring software emulation for ps2 games.

It seems like quite a few people are using microtransactions and buying clothes/items and such. It may seem like people dislike it but they ARE making a profit.

To be honest it's not for me, I go on it every couple of months to see what's changed but other than that I don't bother. I haven't logged into home since twilight hit theaters.
What's up Sensi?? I think Home would SERIOUSLY have to tank before Sony pulled the plug on it...I haven't been there myself for ages but I know a few people who go there all the time. It's a social network, so it's safe to say that the community will always have enough people to keep it active.

This is a joke I would have believed if I read it on April's fool. In fact, I wouldn't find it strange if some one mentioned Home was no more since 1 year ago.
I kinda like home. i mean its not the best bit of software iv ever seen but seeing as it has no subscripton fee and all payed content is optional you cant expect it to be the next WoW lol. i may not use it that much "i hate people :p" but when im on there i have a good time with the bowling,pool and few other things.
I only used it once and had a bad experience, was in the theater and there was this guy cussing and harrassing everyone in the theater including taking personal offenses at me... too many childish wannabe grown ups in there for me.
