1. Correct swinging mechanics: (I know I sound like a broken record)
2. Combat mechanics: unlike the Arkham series and past spiderman games. Instead of button mashing or the primary use of two buttons, like in arkham; They could make the combat mechanics more strategic and coordinated. As a young spider-man player, i used to hate seeing spiderman attack foes with a simple punch, punch, punch. However, pressing start to review the combos constantly lost the game momentum. I feel like there should be a constant decision making process while fighting to give the game more "feel". So instead of a list of combos for the player to execute, Insomniac should make it so every button you press does something. So let's say, Spidey fights this 6'5 bulky guy. Simply mashing the square button will not defeat him, so maybe after three simple attacks the player could press x, which would make spiderman jump, or the player could press triangle, making spiderman do a super powerful, bad ass kick. After spiderman jumps in the air, the player could press R2 triggering his web which would reel spiderman in for another attack. The type of attack is totally up to the player. Also, even if you repeat the same sequence of buttons for every fight, they could produce a different style in which they are executed.
3. Fall damage: I don't want to be babied through the game where i don't have to worry about web slinging correctly because there are no consequences. I want to feel more vulnerable while playing the game, it's more fun that way.
4. Spider-Man's fighting style: I think i'd like to see Spider-Man fight with a little bit more brutality. Since the game is set in a time where Spider-Man is more experienced, therefore; he knows exactly how much power he needs to put into his attacks to put an enemy down quick
5. Amazing Spider-Man habits need to die hard: Remember how you had to web the bad guys up after they hit the floor? I do, and i hated it more than anything. It might be more of a me problem though because that is a part of Spider-Man's signature superhero things.
6. I think the Peter Parker changing to Spider-Man thing is an awesome idea. So, when the transformation occurs, we get to see Peter Parker switch. (The animation shouldn't be a cut scene, or maybe it should? Idk) While Peter is changing, he slowly builds speed, and like halfway through the suit he starts running, and once he gets to the mask; spidey could web zip up to a building as the mask comes on, so spidey is ready to go and you're placed on a rooftop. (And maybe, for humor purposes, a random citizen could just so happen to see Spider-man changing, or a hobo maybe, that would be kinda funny).
7. Advanced web slinging: Remember in the Amazing Spider-Man 2 film, where in the beginning spidey is shown swinging through New York? Remember the part where he web slings past a building's peak then he webs the top of it to kinda keep himself level and to remain at, kinda the same speed? I would love to see that, in the game as well as some other advanced web slinging mechanics (not the web rush thing like the amazing spiderman 1 and 2 games, that wasn't great, in my opinion). Oh maybe, (this is kinda the smooth transition into my number 8 idea) when you're web swinging and you gotta get somewhere quick because something bad is about to happen, Spiderman could swing through buildings, construction sites, obstacles, anywhere that happenes to be very confined, to add more rush and exhilaration to the game. The most important factor that makes spider-man spider-man is the fact that he can constantly keep himself moving.
8. Interactive terrain: So that stuff in number 7, being able to swing through buildings, maybe run through the floors of a building. Let's say there is a fire on the other side of a district, spiderman needs to find the shortest route right? So spider-man sees an open window, web zips into it, and finds himself inside an office with citizens shouting "Woah what the heck, it's spiderman!" (on a side note, i would appreciate it if you could like do a mini free roam inside that floor. Like, maybe you have time to stop by and say hi to the manager or greet a few employees). Then Spider-man sprints towards the window and dives head first, feet first, maybe curls up to make sure he clears the frame of the window. Now he's out of the building and spidey swings through a crane (like in the trailer) and maybe swings through central park and finally arrives at his destination.
9. Walking, Running, Sprinting: The running mechanics in the amazing spiderman 1 and 2 were not that great. I do not believe for a second that spiderman is going to make a light jog towards a citizen to save them. I want the feeling of movement to be more realistic, so if you're just enjoying a nice stroll above a roof top, no hurry what so ever, you could lightly push the left analog stick foward. Then it transitions into a run, the harder you push the analog stick, the more speed he picks up. Then you press down on the left analog stick while pushing forward (like in COD) and then Spidey just starts bookin' it, i'm talking an all out sprint, with the wind rushing past you and the thrill of being Spider-man exceeds belief
10. Bruce Campbell: From all the retro spidey players, we would like our beloved narrator back please. :)
11. I know that i'm going to finish the main story mode in a weekend or two (i have no life, that's how i wrote all this...) So i would like to have the complex, in depth, massive list of side quests that would take forever to complete :D Plz
