what are some good co-op/split screen games that are out and are coming out for ps3. these games are my main reason for buying a console. thanks to anyone who replies

Yes, if split screen ever dies I will stop being a console gamer.
Resistance is pretty fun, and really the best option for a good co-op game right now. Rainbow 6: Vegas co-op was pretty fun on 360, so hopefully it's just as fun on PS3 when it comes out. Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 should be pretty fun, too. Army of Two and Warhawk should both be coming out before too long, and both will have co-op, but Warhawk will be online only.
You can always play sports games like Madden, NHL 2k7, NBA 2k7 or MLB 07: The Show as co-op games too. I haven't played any of these yet, but if sports games are your thing, you might want to pick one up.
this thread is really helpful thanx!! I too am considering whether to get an Xbox 360 or a PS3 and split screen games are one of the main reasons for me to choose.... Besides all these games.. are there anymore up and comping PS3 games that feature split screen?
