When I first got my PS2 I bought a Need for speed underground and nfs: hot pursuit 2. and I loved those games. I liked playing with my brother using split screen local. But what has changed so much in what has it been maybe 5-7 years. Has technology advanced so much that it has actually demoted at some point. I have heard that developers are having a hard time doing split screen on the newer consoles. That has absolutely no merit here. How could you make a COD split screen game but you can't do racing games. I don't always want to play with strangers and my friends do not have the same system as me. Days like these I wish I would have kept my old PS2.
I believe that the developers and publishing houses are doing this on purpose to gain sales that they lose when ever someone purchases preowned or rent. One player but up to 16 online. come on that's a wolf in sheep's clothing.
With all that being said, what are some good split screen racing games?
I prefer the type racing that need for speed has been known for. i recently bought carbon and it's supposed to be split screen I just haven't found the option for it. I bought midnight club la and it turns out that wasn't two player local.
