This is exactly what I felt like after just playing Megaman 9. I downloaded it for some 8-bit nostalgia (much I'm sure like most who did). I was just old enough to be playing the 8-bit megaman originally when it was new and can somewhat remember it, along with other classics. When revisiting it, I quickly began swearing up a storm once I moved on from Galaxy Man's stage to Jewel Man. I immediately knew that I've been spoiled by the current generations generally easier gameplay. It always seems to me the most tear-your-hair out frustatingly challenging games are the simplest. I'm actually loving it, it extends the gameplay quite a bit and is a refreshing change (even if I had to put the controller down and take a break for fear of doing something I'd regret :P). Has anyone else found this? Does this immediately conjure the days when there was no wait-to-heal method in video games. :)
Naturally, I'm all for evolution. I love all my PS3 games. Still though its nice to have a game like Megaman 9 surface just as a good arcade diversion. :)
