I thought the whole twist with Pandora and Kratos actually "caring" about her was really lame. But how the game ended was pretty spectacular :D

To make a long story short. I knew he would die since finishing the first GOW...so that much was obvious for me... The whole twist and introduction of "hope" came completely out of no where towards the end of the game and just spoiled the flow of things for me. I personally found it one of the most poorly written endings that I've experienced in a videogame (in terms of presentation and "emotional tugging.") I think they could have done it much better. When the main character in the game dies and you don't feel any emotional reaction towards it, then you know there's something wrong. Otherwise, I really enjoyed the game itself. One of the best I've played.

The ending was good. I wish Athena's Soul didn't have turn into a b*tch at the end.

It's kind of sad to see Kratos go, but there was no better way to end it.

the whole hope thing i actually thought was not bad. if you actually know about the pandora's box in actual greek mythology, the presence of hope an pandora's symbolism as hope is pretty much expected. however, i know they are trying to symbolize innocence as well thru pandora, but why make her an annoying little girl?

It's not confirmed Kratos died. Did ANYBODY watch the ending AFTER the credits?

Also that thing about "hope" was taken directly from Greek Mythology. Hope was supposed to be one of the things still trapped in Pandora's Box, and one of the most powerful.

The one thing I liked; Kratos has been portrayed as very much an anti-hero throughout the series. The ending makes him a savior.

Yes, yes, yes, we all know that with despair comes hope and all that good stuff from Pandora's Jar/box but its the sudden introduction to it that was annoying.

They could worked it in earlier in the story and not just toss it out there at the ending.

Felt like some kid wrote the ending imo....

The story, to me, reminded me of an old comedy show where these soldiers got a manual on how to disable a bomb:

The instructions read:

1. cut the blue wire

2. Cut the red wire

3. now cut the green wire

4. But first, join the blue and red wires.

Of course by the time they got to step 4, you realize how poorly constructed the instructions were written...eventually ending up in doom.

anyways, this is just my opinion on the ending. I just feel like they could have done a much better job twining the vengeance and hope consistently throughout the game.

cause its sadder to sacrifice a little girl than a full grown woman i guess? :P but yea i think they made her a gorl, so Kratos could build a connection with her, cause look at all the other Older women and what hes done to them (dead) lol. but i didnt find herannoying at all , she had what 15 lines?

well i know she screamed out "Kratos!" at least 30 times or pandora can stay as a young girl, just extremely fragile so she won't talk a lot

Well, personally I liked the ending. After he has killed almost all the Gods who rule the world and the world has been destroyed, he kills himself in order to meet again his family. The game is incredible, but the things I didn't like so much was Pandora's part in the story and the final battle with Zeus, which, I think, they could have made it much more epic, like Cronos' one.

i liked everythin about it, and honestly i couldnt see any other way for the game to end. besides if u guys seen the ending after the credits, they basically show kratos dragged himself or walked towards the ledge again and probably threw himself in the ocean. but im pretty sure hes not dead.overall, game was awesome and i havent gotten tired of it yet, i love SP games.

yes didn't feel like her, she was one of the few likable characters in the series, same with Gia.

In the video aftre the credits, did you guys notice the phoenix symbol where kratos "supposedly" fell after killing himself? Wasn't the Phoenix known for rising up from the ashes and never dying? This could mean something...

Well to be fair, with all the badass things Kratos did + teh emo vengeance vibe makes it hard to care for him (as a friend). Seriously, can you feel sorry for someone who ripped off heads and eradicated thousands? I agree with the poorly written part, Athena just made me go wut? They left many openings for sequels/prequels with that though, can't blame them.

Also, where is Kratos after the credits?

Maybe, in God of War 4?

Considering there's a trail of blood leading to the cliff, maybe Kratos got up and jumped off. Maybe he can't die.

I agree the Zeus fight was very anti-epic... Cronos was so much better...

But to be fair the zeus fight was epic in 2... so I am ok with it

They left the door open with an alternate story with the concept Zeus said to Gaia about how she should have picked the other one
