It is actually a good idea, when you can find a way to get the covers off.

I can see removing the face plate and covers and spraypainting those to create grafiti style PSP. but I'm sure you would reck the system if you did it without removing the covers.

It would probobly be a safer bet to spraypaint a PSP Case.

weel if you're good with spray paint and know how to remove the face and back plate then got for it. just be sure you know what you're doing first.
