I actually never thought of it as against 360, just an advantage towards the PS3 and how keeping its exclusives meaning its still alive and in the game.

TLHBO... It took them a year, because look at all the publicity it raised about the game. 360 and wii owners all were talking about it, and now that they can't have it and want it.. they have to get a ps3 to play it.

OK we got FF, GT, Socom, Metal Gear Solid, God of war if they do make one. What else? ummmm, and what 360 got ummmm Halo 3, Halo 3, OMG Halo 3- that it, sorry guys. O and GOW. sorry. But that's ok you still have Halo 3 and that all you guys need or is it ?
As a 360 owner I could care less about this not going to the 360. As ps3 owner I am happy that the ps3 can keep this game and any other ff games cause I will just play it on my ps3.
I have all next gen consoles so i really dont care, and final fantasy is my favorite game series so I knew i was going to buy a ps3. But people saying this is the final nail in the x360 coffin and things like that are just dumb. The 360 has a huge head start, the sales numbers prove it. I like my ps3, but as far as titles coming out for both systems (and what is allready out) i wouldnt say PS3 has any advantage at all. I guess this is a system wars post, but figured id respond in the thread since its here.

Being a fanboy period is just stupid and pointless. Why anyone would choose not to play a game that interests them just because it's on a rival console that they choose not to own is just stupid. Another thing that bugs me is some of the clueless people over at 1up. Not the people who actually work for 1up.com, but the average joes that respond to the stories that 1up.com posts. Some of them are assuming that the reason why final fantasy 13 is staying a PS3 exclusive is because Sony paid a whole bunch of money to keep it sxclusive. Now if I'm not mistaken, Sony doesn't pay devs money to keep there games exclusive so where is all this coming from.
well, sony does own a significant part of square. Sony purchased part of the company when the final fantasy movie bombed(i actually liked that one) and Square was in big money problems. Sony helped them out by purchasing part of the company hence giving square some cash. So there may be some bias. Either way i could care less, i have all 3 systems, and love final fantasy. Also, Im a pharmaceutical rep, our companies pay insurance companies tons of money for exclusive access on their drug plans, it happens in all industries, i wouldnt doubt there is some going on in the video game industry.

Yea but I'm just glad we wont have all those obnoxious fanboys flooding this forum like they did when dmc 4 became multiplat. Dang that was annoying.
Playing a multiplat game doesn't feel as special as playing one only your side gets to play. That's fanboy logic. SIlly but psychologically sensical.

It'd be in your best intrerest. If FFXIII were to go multiplatform, PS3 wouldn't sell as much, and that means developers would either not develop for the PS3, or make their games multiplatform, further disrupting sales.Â
