If they seriusly declare that Final Fantasy 13 V.S. is multiplat then they better make Infinte discovery and Star Ocean multiplat too.Â
Edit:Â GS is being gay saying my HTML is not well formed
They did say a while back that they were going to support all consoles equally this gen. So I don't see FF13VS going to 360 when the 360 has Star Ocean 4 and Infinite Undiscovery.Floppy_Jim
im really sure that i read somewhere about star ocean 4 going to ps3 too but might take sometime just like The Last Renament
Does Multiplat effect you playing the game? Then why does everyone care so much?

They have nothing better to do .. just want to cry ..

Agreed. There is no reason to feel as if your system of purchase isnt justified.
Why not extend the market and increase sales? The money to create the next 'masterpiece' (or whatever you wanna call it) has to come from somewhere...
May I ask what do you guys have against multiplatform games? As long as we can play them on our PS3, where's the trouble? If you think that companies give a damn about consumer loyalty, you are really naive. They're all in it for the money, all of them. QuebecSuperstar
what i have against multiplatform games, at least in this specific case of squareenix, is that ps3 owners will have to wait more time for the FFXIII relase..... and maybe versus too. also when a game is anounced multiplat theres the risk of having a mediocre game (not saying it will, but theres the possibility). i honestly prefer exclusive games i dont care if they are 360 or ps3, but i think that exclusive games have much better quality than multiplat.
last thing i heard was that separate teams were working in the 360 and ps3 version of FFXIII, which is good. can any one confirm this info?

i completely agree, i fail to see the big deal, as long as it comes out and it rocks i'm happy

i don't care. SE hasn't released a game that i loved since FF10.. oh wait.. that was squaresoft... ok, correction: SE has never released a game that i love. i though the KH series was pretty good, but i didn't love 'em, they were alright.
let SE do whateverthey want. I mean we all know that going multiplat is the best way to collect more green; however, that still doesn't guarantee the success of their games. screw you SE; i'll never forgive you for FF10-2 and that corny-a$$ FF7 DoC.
*sigh*

Only thing thats annoying me about it going multi plat is the fact we have to wait even LONGERÂ

that's right. the FF13 team is working on the PS3 version, and Kinko's will work on the 360
I never really thought about it till I read this thread. But when I was deciding on a system it was going to be the one where I knew the games would be.
Like Final Fantasy I thought would be ps3 only, so That's where I went. I am not upset with the change. I really enjoy my PS3 and I am happy with the purchase.

But after reading this I have thought of something. I see where making games multi platform could bother people.
When you do that you require a few things. You need more people to work on a project so you have a few outcomes.
Just like a movie Games are subject to a budget. So if a game is multi platform at the same budget that means less resources are put into one system.
That could mean less quality. Also when developers are pushed to release something by a specific time by the manufacturers (christmas) then they are forced to work through it as fast as possible, and that could degrade quality. By not focusing on one system you increase the chance for a product pushed out too quickly and the production values cheapened.  Granted you could end up with a great game like Dead Space (IMO) for all consoles. But I think more often then not it hurts the overall value of the product.
If they had taken the team of people and time it took to create 360 and ps3 versions into one system .. they could have doubled the length of the game. I know a lot of people complain about short games, and I think that comes from trying to put it out too too many systems. Â
I also agree with the frustration of people having to wait for FFXIII because of the 360 version. That reallly kind of erked me that I had to wait for them to release it because they wanted it on both systems at the same time.  I don't see why they couldn't release it for the ps3 and then the 360 when it was ready. Just kind of odd. Probably one of those odd buisness decisions. Anyway I have rambled on enough. Just thought I would put in my 2 cents.
