Every single time I touch my ps3 it shocks me.  It is in a wooden entertainment center.  Does anyone else have this problem, and are there any suggestions on what I can do to make it stop?

i do evry now and then. it all depends on what type of clothing your wearing. i know that sounds nuts but if im wearing my whool shirt and siting on the couch the 2 fabrics rubed togather make static electricty. and when ever you toch somthing metal or electric you will get a shock! this just happens i guess

Yeah it happens to me when i wear certain shoes. This also happens with my external HDD and my DVD player. I've got carpet on my room's floor so that's the problem. You could buy an anti-static wristband or maybe just wear rubber shoes.

Spray some fabric softner on the carpet around your ps3. I use to have the problem of static all over the house. I just spray some fabric softner mixed with a little water all over. Works great.

i really dont wanna know how you know that... but i would accustom this to the fact that its still kinda winter outside, and the air tends to have a lot less moisture in it this time of year.  come summer, you should see that go away, or at least be less of a problem.  but for the love of God don't play naked, especially if you have an eye toy!  :)

touch something metal and while touching your PS3 if you think it's going to happen. Your carpet and your clothing has allot to do with it
