Probably because of a ground loop...Do you also experience lines running from bottom to top cause if so definatley a ground loop.

nah no lines..... i got a HDTV LCD 27 inch if that helps and 1080 i capable

That sounds like something isn't quite right.  Does it make any strange sounds when connected differently?

Kman1086- I have been having this same problem. Only with certain games and only when during loud sounds (ie. crowd noise in Madden 09, explosions in MGS4). I've tried asking around in other forums with no success. Somebody told me to delete the game data file (not your save file) and reinsert the disc. Didn't work. For Madden I just turned down the in-game volume sliders to about 70/100 and cranked up the TV volume. Works fine. It is a pretty annoying problem though. I'd like some answers too.

i havent expeienced this that much but when i was playing mlb 08 the show demo i heard some static for a split second but it sounded like it was part of the game but i knew it wasnt. ive got a question too i just hooked up my hdmi and when i play games is it supposed to go black for a sec like its adjusting something when i start it up

I have this problem with Far Cry 2. It was so bad I had to use the composite cables instead of HDMI to play the game. Has anyone tried replacing their HDMI cable?

this happens all the time its normal its your tv changing resolution. it happens to everyone who uses the speakers on the tv. its such a stupid thing it does my head in 2 and even more that sony havnt fixed it yet because it doesnt happen with the 360 or wii. anyway its normal so donw worry

yes i did just yesterday and now that im in HDMI mood i can only get as far as the stupied jeep ride right it the begining ( i cleared the game from my hard drive so i could start the game fresh in HD) so just after i get my guns and try to fight my way outa town i pass out and the PS3 freezes up and i have to shut it off using the main switch, i did go back the EBgames and they gave me a new copy but the same damn thing happeneds.....i'v been told that the game has a glitch in HD mode...enyone got eny ideas
