I always feel stuck to a game after I have beaten it. My one, unintentional, rule with a game is normally when I beat it, if the trophy percentage is over 30-40% I tend to stick to the game and try to achieve 100%. This leads me into a downward spiral of rage because I can't get 1 or 2 of the achievements in NOBY NOBY BOY. I don't even enjoy this game. I don't know what I am doing, and the only reason I am still playing it is because I know I can get all the trophies.

Does anyone share this pain/habbit with me?

If the game starts getting stale, I stop playing it. Simple as that.

While there are games that I have dropped after getting 1 trophy. If I like the game I try to make sure I have a high percentage, Which tends to happen naturally once you play through something twice.

I stop playing the game when I beat it or grow tired of it. Trophies/achievements are the least important part about gaming for me. Could care less about them.

I wish I could do that. But I do agree that trophies should be like currency for PSN. Get enough trophies and buy an add-on, or a game, or anything. They are pointless, yet glorified as a symbol of video game professionalism amongst some.

I go for trophies for games that I feel are worth it.

I'll happily go after a Fallout 3 or Uncharted platinum, but I sure won't bother getting 10,000 online kills in Resistance 2 to get it...you get my drift?

I'm not going to bend over backwards for a trophy, but I'll take the time to do the ones worth doing.

Yeah... I only do it if
-1 Its a singleplayer only game.. Online trophies are just dumb because im lazy.. Eg. KZ 2 get in the top 10 for your specific region?? Come on
-2 Its a fun game... Uncharted for example

I don't care for trophies at all, but I'll chase after tham for a bit of extra fun in Mirror's Edge or Sacred 2.

But most of the time platinum trophies require bending over backwards. To get the Infamous platinum trophy you needed to get all the previous trophies, which included 100% blast shards and 100% stunds. Those, in my mind, require bending over backwards, forwards, and sideways.

Well, then I don't know about X_Factor, but if a platinum requires that much work, I simply don't go for it. I just try to get as many trophies as I can with as little effort as possible.

I like getting trophies too, but i'm not quite the same. For some games i just can't be bothered because i don't like the game (Far Cry 2, Fallout 3 and World at War are 3 examples of games that were fun, but not fun enough for me to want to finish, let alone spend time on.) Others, like Grand Theft Auto 4 i really want to platinum (just spent 2 days killing all the pigeons again, did it once before the trophies were even out yet...makes me want to cry lol) but never will because i hate the multiplayer. Resistance 2, Bioshock and inFamous on the other hand are ones i easily platinumed because i absolutely love the games, even the 10 000 kills one, i'm not very good at multiplayer, but i found the game good enough for me to want to (it's one of my favourites)

I only complete the trophies for a game if I really love that game.

I have 2 platinium trophies for Fallout3 and inFamous because there are two of my favourites games this generation, and there are easy to get too.

If I don't like much the game I don't care about the trophies.

But I just feel the need when it is so easy. Noby Noby Boy for instance. I have no idea what I'm doing. I know I'm not having fun. But the fact that their is only about 7 or 8 trophies, 4 of which you get in the opening tutorial, make me feel the need to continue playing. It's sad. But I feel like I am not alone.

Its very rare that I continue to play a game just to get the trophies, but I will when they're intersting and fun to achieve.

one thing that i dislike about the trophies on my PS3 is that a game like GTA4 that i've already played needs to be started over for you to gain the trophies. i wish that the system wouldrecognize the achievements that you've already accomplished and award you the trophies that you have earned. i don't have enough time to replay the games that didn't have trophies when they were first released. sigh...

Yeah, that does suck. I'd blame those particular developers for not implementing trophies from the start. I, too, have to start GTA4 over if I want trophies (but I don't). Fortunately all games are required to have trophies on release now, so GTA4 and Fallout3 are some of very few you'll ever have to worry about replaying for trophies.

GTA4 and Uncharted are the two games that will need to replay for the trophies when i find time. i own Fallout 3, but haven't started it yet, but i guess that is a good thing as trophies are concerned

Really? From the looks of the GTA4 trophies, they all look near impossible to get. I saw one saying that you had to beat a Rockstar worker in on-line mode. What are the chances of that happening?

you haven't played much have you? Well, this is what i'm assuming...a Rockstar is the highest rank (as in level, like you start level 1 and level up by picking up money till you get to 10 or something) because i got that trophy by playing like 3 online games...i hate the online though so even if i get all the other trophies (unlikely, even though i got the pigeon one the other day) i'll never bother with those ones.

yeah, i didn't mean all of the trophies, but i don't like it when i go to my trophie menu and see Uncharted and GTA4 there at 0% LOL all i'm saying is that there are quite a few trophies that i would like to get, but haven't had time. i'm not worried about online trophies. that's just not my thing.

Yeah, I never really played too much of the multiplayer. It felt weird to me. So I just assumed that Rockstar meant an employee, rather than a rank.

Depends on the enjoyment of the game. I played Uncharted longer than I should and also Burnout but i'm not willing to play the tediousness that is Far Cry 2 for a trophy.

I'll check the trophy list out and if I think i can get 100% fairly easily I'll try to. If it's a bad game and I'm at like 35% I'll just leave it.

Trophies are cool as heck. I don't play any game for 'em. But if it's a game I love I'll defininetly go for all of them. BTW, why is TC's font size so small?

I actually found all 350 blast shards without too much trouble on my own too. It's really not that bad as compared to other time-consuming trophies.

I hardly ever do, if the trophy is insanely hard I won't even attempt it
