Yea...this is not true. Resistance Fall of Man is...very mediocre. Play 2, they got it right with that one, but even Res2 is not "one of the best." Play HL2 or Killzone 2, or Crysis(don't flame, Crysis is miles ahead of Resistance and not just graphically).

Ok, well I'm very glad you enjoyed it as much as you did, it certainly was fun, but I just liked more things in other games, which of course is my opinion as well. 2 was great, but I missed some things that were really cool in 1, such as the Menials (they replaced them with the changed people, which doesn't really make sense because the Chimera need those heat sinks or else they will overheat; which is why the menials moved so slow). But both have their moments of greatness indeed.

i've been thinking about getting it, but i'm not much of a fps fan. i remember liking medal of honor rising sun, and killzone 1. oh and southpark was pretty fun for the time.

Resistance was alright, the first time I was amazed. Now, I just play old games such as Uncharted and Assassin's Creed.

.....ummm.... thank god for opinions. I personally think its pretty mediocre. I enjoy certain elements of it such as the story, and the weapon wheel, but the gameplay is repetitive and fairly generic really. raven_squad

Resistance 1 was my favorite FPS until Killzone 2 came out....I have yet to play Resistance 2 though. :(

It was decent. I never played online though, so my view on the game is probably one-sided. I'm really not a fan of FPS on the PS3. I much prefer them on the 360, but Resistance came with the PS3 I bought.

Resistance: Fall of Man was bloody brilliant in my opinion, but I guess most of that brilliance shone along with the fact that it was my first PS3 game - being the first next gen game to blow me away. Hey, I still play it to this day. The entire game is nothing but solid fun.hazelnutman

Yes, this is a game that has literally been forgotten, but it is still one of the best FPS on the PS3.
