Socom is a great series always has been. The reason why half of you are complaining is because you guys think its like CoD or some other noob shooters. But yes Confrontation has its technical issues but those can really be fixed. The gameplay is awesome and whoever is still getting disconnected after the recent patch fix your connection or upgrade! Anyways just stop hating on the game because you cant handle getting owned.

I just think that alot of people believe that the game should have been held back another few months.

SOCOM is an example of a game that only got successful because of the platform it launched on. There were already many good and great shooters of its type on the Xbox, and had it come out there, it would never have garnered as much attention as it did. SOCOM managed to succeed on the PlayStation, because it was one of the first online titles for the PS2. My biggest gripe with this new one is the fact that there is no offline mode, which makes it feel very MMO-ish. And usually the kind of people I'd dealt with playing Socom 2 or 3 online on ps2 were such 'tards about how to play, compared to being able to at least find people that understand what they're supposed to do on many online games for the PC.

The game is definetly not in prestine condition and my guess is most people are basing there decisions on reviews and forum posts. I for one enjoy the poop out of this game and believe its the best online game atm (but that just my opinion). Im glad to hear alot of people like it, especially us vets of the series, also all of the people/friends ive met online while playing.

Hands down if you want the best teambased/tactical online shooter out there then do yourself a favour and get SOCOM, i know the reviews give it a thumbs down, but listen to the people who like it and play the poop out of it like myself. Wow that was a long sentence.

Also, if you enjoy the game plz add me, PSN ID below. Im also playing BF:BC (new patch! 8)) LBP and Fallout 3 (360), so i have to split my gaming time evenly.

Socom 2 was the best one ever, no other socom has even compared to that, not even confrontation.
