About 2 or 3 weeks ago, I asked how much gamestop would give me for madden 08 for the ps3 and they said 7 bucks. Madden 09 comes out on August 12 so that price may have decreased even more since then. Today I went to blockbuster and asked how much they would take madden 08 for and they said 20 bucks. Much better deal!

man the only time id trade a game is if i wanna go sell it and id do that on ebay or amazon, gamestop ar rip offs, when i wanted to trade in army of 2 , 2 weeks later they said 18 bucks, and thats from 65 bucks that i shelled out for so im losing 47 dollars, even though its better than 7 bucks, i still wont trade in games at least not anymore, cuz in the end ur losing twice as much

Yeah...Here's a hint, stop playing games that come out every year...The prices are terrible. Plus, you need to remember that GameStop thrives from trades, the other thing about GameStop, is that if they have a ton of copies of one game, it trades for less. I work at GameStop, and that's how it works.

Or all you guys can just click the link in my sig and sign up for Goozex. Get the game, play it, trade it. Even months afterward, most games retain most of their "value". The site pays for itself after just a few trades.

I wish my Blockbuster would do game trades. I would bring in all my old PS2 games I never play and get much more then I would at any other retailer.

On goozex that game is still worth 1000 points for PS3 and 900 for 360. 1000 is the max any game is worth. I've been on the waiting list for both of them for months. Just click my link and sign up.

I must agree that Goozex is a great resource. I only got one game so far and I don't think I'll be using it again, but it is a great site. The reason I don't plan on using it again is because I've pretty much weeded out all the bad games from my collection, and I'm being alot more picky with which games I buy so I hopefully won't have anything I wanna trade. Just to expand a bit, Goozex is a site where you basically exchange games with people around the world. Each game has a point value and you get points for sending off games to other users. You then get other games with your points. The only thing you have to pay for is trade credits. You need a trade credit to recieve a game (not send) but you get a free one for signing up and I think they're only like a dollar or something. Even obscure games get eaten up fast, so no worries there (I traded "Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure" for PS1 the first day I listed it).

Prices vary depending on how much the retailer has of the game. If they have many madden games in stock, they may even say they don't want it. If they don't have any, then they will give you more money.

I don't live in the US. But EB Games sometimes refuses game sales if they have a tonne of that game in stock.

So did you get cash or credit? That sounds like a sweet deal either way. I would prefer the cash because they may not have much in stock to choose from.

Blockbuster does the same in europe.. I think they call the gaming department of blockbuster.. 'gamerush' or so?.. new games tend to be slightly cheaper than most retailers.. but they never really go for sale, but you can always get used new games there, for nearly no money :)

I work part-time for a Blockbuster in America. The only BB's that trade games are the game-rush stores. And yes, we can refuse your trades, so can gamestop. And yes we give a lot more than gamestop but it is only trade credit, the only drawback. But if you have a new game, or a current gen, I would have to reccomend EBAY. But if you don't want to deal with the hassle of shipping and pay-pal, then I would reccomend us.

I started using Goozex a few months ago, and I have to say it is the way to go. I bought Haze, played it, realized there was no replay value for me, and traded it on goozex for just about the full value of the game. I have been getting a lot of older PS1 and PS2 games that go for lots of $ on ebay for my old crap games.

I usually dont trade in much games, but yeah when i do blockbuster is the choice for me, i go blockbuster for trade-ins and gamestop for buying games, gamestop might be a **** selling games , but buying games is a real good choice from that store, since they have a awesome selection. :)

Lmfao I never understood why people would sell games to EB or gamestop they rip you off so badly. I got Budokai Tenkaichi and it was like 5 months after it came out, I asked how much to trade in and they said they'd give me $10...I was like wtf...so i just kept the game.

The only downside of trading in games at blockbuster is that you need to have a membership and they only count towards store credit.

yeah i dont think trading and selling games is good buisness unless you really hate the game like a 60 dollar purchase is not very cheap at all unless its xbox that thing is useless box250 w.e lol.. anyways after mgs4 i thought of selling my grand 30+ game library of which only questionable games would be genji days of the blade or spiderman3 which i accually really enjoyed i just refuse to squish my hard earned investment for a fraction of the price ya know n i hate used game because its terrible for the games industry... nothing hurts your favorite developers more then selling and buying used games if this trend would stop then perhaps we will see this great industry rise to where it belongs beside music movies etc most game company refuse to take risks so 90+ percent games are just shovelware built statisticaly to clone the games you really loved like gta4 w/e anyways i hope people smarten up no offense cheers
