story based games opinions please ?

im going to get a game as my weekend is shot, but the genre of fps games which got me into gaming is now dead to me i just hate them lol

any way i love a heavy story dramatic game . the greatest game iv ever played was on the xbox was mass effect 2, i was wondering if its worth getting for ps3? i never did play the dlcs on the xbox. is it worth me getting to expericnce on the ps3 ?

What else is a good deep story game something lie that ? dragon age two was thinking of maybe i played the first one and didnt like it , but the secon one has me interested . off other peoples heads can you guys think of any more ?

i liked heavenly sword's story but i might be alone since i just remember that game getting bashed lol. kai was awesome..

Heavy Rain recently won 3 Bafta's yes BAFTA(lol), one of which was for Best Story. Clearly that means something right? The game is heavily about story with branching narrative. I suggest you check it out if you are interested and besides the game is a Platinum title now so you can get it for half the price brand new. Hmm I may check it out soon myself, if only for Madison.

I'd give the Yakuza series a go as it's focused heavily around it's story.

Don't play ME2 if you've already played it - "Enslaved" (short but good, don't pay a lot or perhaps rent), "Batman AA", "Alone in the Dark: Inferno", "Dark Void", The "Uncharted" games... They're all pretty cheap now, too.

Folklore has a pretty good story; has a slow start though. It's very suspenseful and tells two different perspectives. It's one of the few games that uses the sixaxis feature very well. The bad thing about Folklore is that it's very repetitive; you have to go through the same dungeons and fight the same bosses twice.

NieR also has a pretty good story - though it doesn't get that good until the second half. The first half is mostly devoted to developing the characters, and I have to mention the characters are hilarious. The gameplay is pretty fun; it mixes a bunch of genres.

Yakuza 3 is another one. Just like NieR, it devotes the first part for character development which pays off at the end. You end up caring and loving the characters.

try Uncharted 2 u will love the story for sure.

Heavy Rain and Metal Gear Solid 4 are both examples of incredible stories.

Get the uncharted games best games ive played probably also batman and dragon age 2 are great.

Heavy Rain is the one. One of the best games this gen.

Other choices could be Red Dead Redemption, Uncharted 2 Among Thieves, maybe the whole Metal Gear Solid series.

Heavy Rain is the unique and refreshing one though.

Dead Space 1 & 2.... both are very amazing + DS2 now has DLC called "Severed" which has 2 more chapters.
