Strange Idea: The PS3 TV.

Here is a idea for Sony. Why not put a PS3(hardware) into a Sony TV to make the first ever gaming TV. It would kinda be like a Mac where the entire computer is in the Moniter. So the PS3 TV will double as a TV and a gaming console. There will be some sort of DVD/Blu ray drive at the side of the Tv just like a Mac.

Came up with this idea in a dream( I am not joking).

Warning: PS3 Tv will destroy all Wii's and Xbox 360's when connected.

It sounds like a good idea at first glance but what happens when a better tv comes out and you want to make an upgrade? That's just one problem I can think of. Plus it would be so much more expensive I'm willing to bet.

good idea but you would have so many different variants it would get expensive quick

It's a good idea but, there are plenty of things to consider IMO. :D

• Temperature (HDTV's are hot plus the operating temperature of the console.)
• Size and weight
• Lifespan (If the HDTV lifespan will last up to 10years, I doubt the console built into it will be.)
• OS conflict betwee TV's and console.
• There may be more...

First you'll have to find a way to convince the public that the TV they already own is garbage and that they should buy Sony's TV+PS3.

Maybe if Sony had thought of this a long time ago, they could implement PS3s into the new 3D TVs, but it's too late for that now.

For some reason I thought I had seen somewhere that Sony has already done this in Japan. It was horribly overpriced and kind of a flop because of the price. or I'm just imagining things. Either way, it's a pretty neat idea.

It is getting possible the more advanced we get, but I doubt it will ever happen, for the same reasons it has never happend.

• The TV would have to be quite big, not as in screen size but for all the space needed to house the hardware
• People upgrade there TV's all the time, so this would be a bad finachal choice
• It would be incredably expensive I mean I'd reckon it would be 1000GBP and by that fact wouldnt sell.
• If it breaks it would be difficult to fix.
• Why would you actully want one?

It's a nice idea, but it does ruin the portability of it.
