Strange question - Which of these 3 games is...

the shortest to play?

I know that's unusal - but these three games are setting on my shelf and I want to play one before embarking on a FallOut 3 journey (because I will spending allot of time with that game).

So which of these three has the shortest play time - even though I know that's the opposite of what most people look for in a game? :)

Resistance: Fall of Man

Uncharted: Drakes Fortune

Lair

I am not asking for opinions on which is best - and now that the patch is out I don't need to hear about how bad Lair is - because I will be playing all 3 of these - just looking for the shortest single player experience right now due to time limitations and having a ton of games i haven't played yet on multiple consoles.

I never played Lair tbh, so I wouldn't know if it's the shortest.

Uncharted, by a longshot.

With Resistance being the longest.

But, I liked Uncharted the most, and Resistance the least.

Anyway - thanks for the input man - even if it didn't really help my decision. LOL

Cool - that's sort of what I thought. However I was hoping it would be Lair - because i know Uncharted is probably the best out of the three and was thinking I would rather save that one - however I have taken on some extra hours at work through the holidays and honestly will play whichever one is the shortest first.

So that's 1 for Uncharted. ;)

But it's definitely the best.

Uncharted. It's a bit longer than Heavenly Sword, but not by much. That said, it's a fantastic game and, despite it's length, it's very well paced with an excellent story and great setpieces. It's a short game that didn't really have me complaining about it.

It's also the best of these 3 games, imo.

LOL - I knew I was oging to get all the Lair haters - it doesn't matter if you liked it and regardless of what one of you said - the reviewers while not wanting to re-review the game have all nearly said how much fun the game is now and that it is the game it should've been upon release. If you haven't read the reviewers comments in reference to the patch in specific then really I'm not sure why you would argue this - and if you have read the reviews of the patch then you would know that the game is actually getting a little pat on the back now - just a little too late as one reviewer put it. However for someone who hasn't played the original "bad" version - well it's not too late. ;)

And it looks like I'm off to play Uncharted. Ps - I loved Heavenly Sword so that correlation alone sold me. :)

First off - I didn't say specifically a good game - as you pointed out it still has it's issues - however they are saying it is greatly improved, fun to play and is the game it should've been.

These are excerpts highliting the positives - as I said I am not denying there are still negatives - just that the game is worth playing now if you are someone like me who will play anything that is mildly interesting and fun:

I played Lair with the analog control, and it was mildly amusing, but even those controsl were still very frustrating.

Ok man - you obviously have selective reading skills. You are correct - I used the word great when these reviewers did not use the word "great" instead using the words "fun, Much Better, So Much Better and enhanced" - that is a matter of symantics though.

The fact is you completely missed the point when in the initial post I expressly stated "I am not asking for opinions on which is best - and now that the patch is out I don't need to hear about how bad Lair is."

Next time please try reading that part. As all of your arguments are 100% irrelevant as to what my question was and therefore to this entire thread.

This thread is not about whether you or anyone else likes Lair as I stated in the beginning.

Lair ive beaten Uncharted and palyed through almost all of resistance FOM and Lair comes nowhere near close to how much time i spent on the other 2.

This was when I didn't like FPS games, mind you.

I was fresh off the PS2 boat, which had nearly no FPS games at all, so all I had ever played up until that point were platformers, RPGs, and action games.

I've played all three games(I didn't buy Lair, I borrowed it from a friend to see if it was THAT bad) and I believe that Uncharteis the shortest with a campaign of under 7 hours. It was also the one I enjoyed the most. I heard it even had trophies now.

NO, no I wasn't looking to have someone to tell me to buy a game I already own. As I said previously I already own all of these games (and allot of others) - so it wasn't about what to buy. I buy pretty much every game that comes out that is even mildly interesting to me regardless of reviews or opinions - so that's not what this post was about.

Some of you DID give unbiased answers and I appreciate that - I was referring to one person in particular who wanted to argue how bad of a game Lair was which I specifically asked for that not to happen in my initial posting. I know what the general opinion of Lair is - but I have it and will play it so that's kind of irrelevant.

I didn't mean to imply that the rest of the answers were biased - only that some were.

Anyway it looks hands down like Uncharted is the shortest so I guess I will be playing that today after work.

RFOM is definitely NOT the shortest. :P

So I guess I will keep getting opinions between now and the time I get off of work today - since it's obviously Lair or Uncharted. :)

Oh - and yes I am lucky because when I am on here all day - it's while I'm at work - pretty cush and fun job. :)

Thanks for all of the advice and reccomendations from everyone.

I will no longer argue about Lair. I played the first levels of both Lair and Uncharted - just to get a general feel.

Wow - that's all I can say - and I see what all the negativity was about with Lair now (even with the patched controls). That game is going in for trade tomorrow. Sorry if I seemed to be arguining with anyone.

Anyway - I'm going to go write a Lair review and then get back to playing Uncharted. :)
