I discovered this when putting in my Stranglehold collector in the PS3 : it is stuck at the "a new update ..." I try to press X but that won't work. Then I exit and then it goes to the upper of the Games menu without me touching anything. I tried some demos and downloaded games, they're stuch at the "press start" page and I press Start with no result - I tried it with PS2 games, so when I exit the game it is off, but the menu comes up by itself ...

Do you guys think it's the Sixaxis or the OS going mad? Some games work without problem ...

Did you re-connect your SIXAXIS with the USB cable so that it could pair up with the console again?

Do you have any other controllers to test with?

Even if you only have the BD Remote, this would at least work too. Or even a Bluetooth keyboard. Just something that can move around the XMB and select things, to make sure it's not an OS problem or Bluetooth problem, but instead just that controller.

seems it's my Sixaxis acting strange, I tried the civilisation demo again, it did as if I pressed the up d-pad button continuously, even if I switched it off, then I switched it on and it worked properly ... gonna have to buy a new one!

thanks anyway
