is lacking alot against the 360 version. I was going to get the PS3 version but it got delayed so I got the 360 version days before release at Best Buy and the guns sound alot more real on the 360 version. I am more loyal to Sony and not Microsoft but I think alot of you will agree that the sounds of the gun shooting are very bad. i am very disappointed and I hope that Midway does something about this for the People who are getting this game for PS3. Feel free to share your opinions about the demo. Good and Bad.

Weird...sounds the same to me. I've been playing the 360 version for a couple of days and the Ps3 version sounds exactly like it. Q-tips maybe?

I am downloading it now, I want to see how it stacks up against the 360 demo. I am hoping it is the same so I can buy the PS3 version.

Now that i think about it, the only major sound was in the shotgun. That was the only problem I had with the sound after playing it 3 times. Ya,the shotgun lacks in sound.

I'm gonna try the demo, but I'm going for visual differnces. Cause sound isn't that important. If it were, I would have a surround sound system.

But I also feel compelled to get Stranglehold with Hard Boiled on the disk in HD. The 360 version isn't gonna have that.

To timmy, I bought the CE for the 360 and I like the features that came on the disk. I also got it because I have bought the new DVD for Hard Boiled and I love that movie. The visual quality of the 360 and the PS3 are equal. They really do look the same to me.

After 12 hours of downloading I am still at 70%, pathetic... Anyway, how is the framerate on the 360 version, the demo was kinda framey and stuff and I am wondering if it was fixed in the final game.

I noticed that the sound on the PS3 demo sounded like it was coming through a can into my receiver. I also experienced the audio cutting out during action. I'm no fanboy, and I have this preordered for the PS3, but the 360 demo runs/sounds so much better, I can only hope that this demo is to blame and is not very representative of the final game.

So it seems that there are some sound glitches. I hope they get fixed, as they are a bit of a nuisance.

The 360 does have better sound. After installing the ps3 version this afternoon and noticing a difference I re-dl'd the 360 version and there is a very noticable difference in the sound and mildly noticable in graphics and frame ... imo.

The sound in the PS3's demo is horrible compared to the 360 and I kept getting sound dropouts all the time. I would speculate that the sound is highly compressed in the demo as the PS3 version probably has much larger sound data than the 360 if they used 7.1 etc. I also noticed that the cut scenes were not real time but rather they were videos as I could see alot of compression in them which is weird. I played the PS3 version at 2am this morning so I didn't play the 360 version straight after but I will check it to see if it is the same.

I thought the graphics were the same throughout and I also thought it actually ran smoother than the 360 version in terms of framerate stability BUT I got complete freezes in the game 5 times or more and that NEVER happened once in the 360 version. The 360 review on gamespot didn't mention a bad framrate as in the demo so I am hoping that the framerate and freezing issues in the PS3 version has also been fixed.

When i played the demo, the framerate was very jumpy, very very iffy in big firefights. And ALL the sound in game sounded AMAZING compressed. Really Weak. Gun Shots like on a N64 game or something. It sounded Awful. Its not my PS3 or soudn system, Warhawk sounds great.

Same here, the framerate got so terrible during some heavy parts.

Stranglehold sound demo comparisons- On the ps3 it sounds like everything is running at 64kbps, which a very low quality. During cutscenes its fine, but during actual gameplay and the title screen? Its messed up. If this isn't fixed, people will be mad. Though I'm playing in 5.1 dolby, while most are probably playing in stereo. The 360 demos sound was fine, why can't this demo be the same?

Stranglehold graphics demo comparisons- Well I went through the ps3 demo a couple times, and I noticed something was missing from the 360 demo. I couldn't exactly pin-point it at the time, but then I played the 360 demo again and then it hit me. The ps3 demo of stranglehold is missing dynamic shadows. So now it looks almost like a last-gen game, but in hi-res. The textures weren't as great as well, but unlike those, you will notice the shadow differences easily.

My deepest fears were come true today. I was certainly hoping the ps3 version would be at least on par with the 360 version, so I could get hard-boiled in hd. Though if this is representative of how the final ps3 game will be? Its going to get a score in the 6s' for sure.

The sound is absolutely awful, I figured it was because of the demo, though.
