Now that the PS3 plays Divx, can you stream it from the computer? I know there where on the fly ways before the update but I was curious if you could do it straight up now.

Yes, to an extent.

You can use the PS3's media streaming functionality with a computer that has media server functionality, I.E. Windows Media Player Media Server.

Not all divx files will play though, I've had problems with a few, but most work just fine.

With alot of the Divx files I have found they will play to an extent, but at any time can screw up and stop working. Also, if you start it up again it can screw up at different places in the video each time. So my experience has been very erratic to say the least.

That is interesting. I have found that it is picky on DivX files where as my cheap dvd player plays them all fine. I have streamed to xbox360 with alot of success but have not found a great solution for the ps3. Music works ok so I will have to play around with video some more.
