Streaming media to my PS3 by PC

I have a laptop PC and my PS3 on a wireless motorola router. I have WMP 11 and still WMP is not recognizing my PS3. I have all of the settings correct on my PS3 as well. Does anyone have any ideas? What does your router need to be configured dat, firewall and security settings? Please help.

I'm sure you done this but I must ask this first: Have you followed the directions in the manual to set up a media server? Especially the part about the settings for media player 11

I would also like to know how to do this i've tried and it didn't work for me.G-Legend

same here. i open windows media click on "library" then click "media sharing" then i check off that "share my media box"but nothing appears showing my ps3 device!(and i turn the "media sharing" on the ps3 to on) and still nothing.
