Hey guys, I'm able to stream music, look at pics from my pc etc, but for videos it recognises they are there but it says "Unsupported data". They are .avi files, divx. I have all the codecs installed on my pc and the files play fine on my pc. Anyone help? Thanks :D

the ps3 is very picky about how the files you play are encoded. I downloaded a video converter such as winavi and converted everything i wanted to play to mpeg2 codecs for audio and video. I found that even if a format is supported it may have a problem if the audio/video is not encoded using the same codec. EG mp3 audio and .avi video.

Not really into mediahome as much since you can't pause anything.

i use nero media home but it doesnt always work so well...most of the videos play fine but sometimes after about a half hour it will start to freeze up every 5 seconds...but im sure as both get updated the better it will work out
