Only have one thing to tell you, Stop sucking!
you can go to options and set up the controls however you like, alot of people who play SF dont keep it at default alot of people costumize them to how they like it.
Also i know Seth is a gay ass boss and the guy who created him should go die, but honestly hes not that hard.
like i said above, stop sucking.
ok i dont know if anyones told you this already, but you can change the controls, i have it set up so the L1 is on the "square" and the R2 on the "X" like that i can do the ultras with no problems, just play with the controls until you find one you like, im actually thinking of just inverting the L buttons with the R's and it should do the trick just fine as well.
I recommend any newcomers to start playing akuma, his ultras/ supers are easiest to do with a controller. And the game does take practice, I played for 2 weeks or so and finally I can kick ass in medium hard.

Stop sucking QFT!In all honesty if u plan on playing this game more than 1 or 2 months, i highly suggest getting a joystick. The reason being that not only will you not get calluses anymore from too much friction wit ur pad, but a joystick will actually help improve ur skills. Imagine this, when u r playing on a ps3 controller u r using 2 thumbs to input commands. When u r using a joystick u are using ur whole left hand and wrist and 5 fingers on ur right hand. It doesnt take much math to see which one is able to get more inputs in. Faster and more accurate inputs = improved skill. Also continuous friction on a ps3 controller will wear both the controller and ur thumb down. Excessive usage of force on ur thumb can and probably will cause some permanant damage in the future. In addition, if u play on a joystick, u rarely stop playing because ur fingers hurt or u thumbs hurt. Its more to that fact that ur just plain tired from too much play, this means that u will also get more practice in since u wont have to worry about pain. However, if u r just playing for a few weeks, then disregard this post.
I just got mine yesterday. Believe me, the gamepad's hard to find, and people just laugh at you when you ask them about the arcade stick.Buy the $40 SF4 gamepad if you don't to cough up for a joystick.
Or, suck it up and get used to it.

I brought an arcade stick for this game, but i am a big fan of this game. Others can just but the mad catz pad, kinda lik the old mega drive one with 6 buttons on the face.
I use th ps3 pad sometimes and its fine for me. plying street fighter is lik plying a guitar, just takes practice until ur skins hardens LOL
Yeah this game is like every Mortal Kombat there was........PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE
and whats the deal with all this underlining stuff?
[QUOTE="ItsEvolution"]I just got mine yesterday. Believe me, the gamepad's hard to find, and people just laugh at you when you ask them about the arcade stick. I didn't find much difference between the gamepad and the PS3 controller. I got my one of the MadKatz fightsticks though and I have to say it hasn't improved my game any. Maybe I need to just practice a bit more. I do like the fact that all the buttons I need are right there and much easier to press.Buy the $40 SF4 gamepad if you don't to cough up for a joystick.

I bought the game, and I cannot do any ultra or super moves. It's just impossible to land them when you want. The ps3 d-pad and the analogue stick suck with the half circle half circle then 3xpunch combo. Plus I want to ask isn't L1 supposed to = 3xPunch then why the hell should I press square, triangle and R1 to execute the ultra ?? any tricks on executing the moves will be appreciated. Thank you.gedo
all i can say is...practice, practice, practice...it's definitley one of the harder fighting games that i've played recently, but it's such a great game that the trial and error is worth it. go into the training portion of the game and practice. truth is just when i think i'm getting better at this game i get my @$$ handed to me.
