I am asking this same question, would it be safe to say to stick to your favorite franchise. I mean, ive been playing all these games since i was friggin like 12 or something (Im 25 now)......If you havent liked vrtua fighter ever, you wouldn't like it now. same goes for the rest of em'......remember when you would go to the arcade and blast away 30 dollars and 5 hours on the latest tekken,street fighter,mk,sould caliber, or virtua fighter like we used to back in the day!!!

Its kinda sad when you choose what kind of fighter you buy based off of features, and not the characters and fighting itself. However, thats not the consumers fault. For instance....I like virtua fighter more than some other fighters, but because there is no on-line i wont buy it.....I dont have any friends with the same taste as I for games so I awlays play alone.
Without playing any of the next gen fighters, or blazeblue at all.....my suggestion is to go with the game the has on-line, and good variety off-line for single players because all the big franchises are good, and look good in there own way. Although, I stoped being an MK fan after MK3....mk3 was the best and last for me.
BTW if I even here a hint of new Street Fighter Alpha , Super Street Fight 4 can kiss my grits. Also, a well done new Bloody Roar would be fantastic too!
